Very worthwhile day trip. Comfortable seats. Pile your plate high at lunchtime. Two stops: firstly to walk through the forest on a boardwalk and later on to walk around Sarah Island on a guided tour.

Older, budget priced motel but the rooms are very clean and the showers hot. There has also been some effort made to decorate & furnish the rooms nicely.

Store Manager David knows mattresses very well. I was suffering back pain from my old mattress; David matched me up with a new one & the back pain has settled and gone.
They remove the old mattress & offer a exchange warranty if you are not happy with your purchased mattress within the first 60 days.

Mid week lunch, ordered off the menu instead of from the counter display....big mistake.
The dish was missing one of the key ingredients & when I spoke to the waiter about it, instead of taking the dish back and reconstructing it, he just brought me a small dish of the missing ingredient which I had to then add in myself!
It was so disappointing....and when the menu states the dish will contain an item in the plural i.e. figs, expect singular i.e. fig.

First class cut. The ladies here can turn very ordinary hair into a beautiful style that lasts until the next (overdue) appointment.
They don't try to up sell, they see the beauty in greying hair without having to cover it with colour.
The salon is minimalist, the music modern, the staff is great.
Downside: not a cheap cut....but totally worth it.

Weekday lunch - the place was quite busy. Nice large serves of food on the plate...very tasty food too.
Waiter service was very slow and looked a bit disorganized.
One drink order was incorrect...though it was replaced with the correct drink very rapidly.

Family friendly & in a great location in the centre of town. Food was quite ok BUT none of the cutlery on the table was clean (hot, soapy water guys!) and the varnish is peeling off the tables making the restaurant look a bit yuk.

First class fine dining restaurant. If you like your steak you must eat here. If you like your wines you must eat here; the wine list is 28 pages long and you can go into the wine storage and select your wine if you want. Be prepared for an expensive meal though....
The Barn offers accommodation as well (didn't try it) but, if you are a gourmand and are prepared to pay for it, fly to Mount Gambier, stay at the Barn and dine at the Barn Steakhouse.

Have eaten there at evening meal time and at breakfast time.
Wide variety of choice in their menu, food was good and the place has a nice feel. Only complaint is the waitresses were understaffed at breakfast and we had to wait too long.

We have been a customer of Bigpond Movies DVDs by mail for five years.
The catalogue is extensive and their service if there is a problem is excellent and ethical. You have to set up a list of DVDs you want and they will send you any one off the list so, if you are the kind of person that wants to watch a particular movie tonight then it won't suit but if you don't mind the 'lucky dip' aspect then Bigpond movies is good value (my children love the 'lucky dip'). Downside: This year I have noticed that turn around times are slowing down. Turn around used to be 2-3 days, it is now regularly 5-7 days.
