I really like this restaurant. I am not that keen on the touch screen ordering system, but the food is delicious and provides a wide variety of Japanese food.

the touch screen ordering is a great technological idea but i'm not so sure i would like that every day everywhere. it definitely helps speed things up so prob good for lunchtime rush but wouldn't recommend if you want to sit, relax have a drink and then order your meal. food was not too bad

Approximate cost: $25

The food here is what I would describe as pretty average, I've been few times now and have never been that impressed. What is amazing about this place is the tablet ordering system - each table has its own touch-screen monitor and you can order as soon as you sit down - and keep on ordering if you wish. The service is fast and friendly and the novelty hasn't quite worn off yet.

if you are craving for a good sushi place, i would recommend wagaya as one of the places you can try. not all of the items we ordered were fantastic, but it definitely managed to satisfy our sushi crave!! the service though is not really good. everything is computerized from ordering ur food to calling the service hand and they can take very long to response

The Wgaya menu has heaps of pictures/photos of the meals, snacks and drinks, making it easier to decide what you want to it by knowing what to expect. The ordering system is through a flat monitor and you basically touch-screen to make your selections. What a fantastic way to save time when you don't have to wait for waiters/waitresses to take your order! The meals have pretty authentic Asian/Japanese tastes to them which I love. The seating arrangements are very much like Japanese, some of which you have to seat on the floor (in a bigger group) - interesting environment compared to other Asian restaurants. But the place is often fully booked, and it took me a few attempts on the phone to get through and make a reservation though. I guess it's just way too popular!

Wagaya is modelled on a popular chain of Izakaya in Japan. It is very authentic in all respects from menu, to ordering system and seating arrangements.

I have heard so much rave reviews for wagaya, and I finally went there with some friends last night. The decor and ambience is very nice, the booth seatings means great privacy and keeps noises down. Touch screen menu is great fun, especially for 1st timers. Service is quick, great selection of food - sushi, sashimi, rice, shabushabu, and some fusion dishes, such as japanese style spaghetti, pizzas and gratins! Cannot recommend this place more highly enough!

I went here a while ago with some friends. I loved the concept of the touch screens - service was always so fast too :) After reading your review, I'll have to go back for another visit!

Great Japanese restaurant in the Valley Chinatown Mall. The have a huge menu including lots of gluten free dishes, vegetarian dishes and mocktails! You order from a touch screen computer at your booth when you are ready and can check your balance as you go.
The restaurant has private rooms for groups and lots of booths for couples and groups of 4-6.
We tried the Edamame, two types of gyoza, yakitori, chicken kaaraga & prawn tempura - all were fantastic. Definitely will be back to try their huge variety of sushi.

Approximate cost: $10-$15

Touch Screens - you order off a touch screen in your booth. It's a bit of a novelty, but it is a fun point of difference for this asian restaurant.

You must try the lotus root chips, as well as the prawn and avacado sushi.

They also have a massive range of cocktails - some combinations are too bizzare.

They satff are all very friendly too.
