We often stay in Adelaide for weekend getaways and kept seeing ads on tv for this place so thought we'd try it. So very glad we did. The setting is beautiful! Right next to a creek with trees and green lawn areas, rolling hills in the distance, wildlife including birds, koalas, echidnas. This time of year too with autumn leaves on trees, it was actually breath taking. The cabin we stayed in was nice, however the bathroom and shower wasnt overly clean. It really let the stay down, so much so that I really didn't like touching anything in the bathroom and wore flip flops in the shower. The rest of the cabin was nice and modern too, the bed extremely comfortable. Staff were also very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be staying there again, i can't wait to spend a bit more time and go bush walking along the creek. Why i haven't heard of this place before is beyond me, it truly is a hidden gem.

We were in Waikerie for lunch while visiting the riverland over Easter. This place does the BEST hot chips I have ever had!! Service was very friendly, and the chips and chicken bites we ordered came out quickly. Reasonable prices too. I still can't get over how good the hot chips were though, I wish more takeaway places cooked their chips like here. Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy in the middle. I look forward to another trip to Waikerie just for the chips from this place again!

While in the area for Easter, we couldn't go past visiting Havenhand Chocolates. My only complaint was it was too hard to decide what chocolates to try!! We bought a small selection of truffles, including rum and raisin, quondong, white chocolate strawberry, passionfruit and white chocolate covered apricots. They didnt last the car ride back to where we were staying in Blanchetown, delicious! Lovely setting too looking over the lawns towards the river. Staff were polite. Prices were reasonable for the quality, will definitely be going back for more next time we are in the area, plenty more flavours we want to try!

We stayed here in a cabin over Easter, it was wonderful, wish we didnt have to go home! The park was beautiful, lovely setting right by the river with large lawn area, BBQ area, pontoons and "beach area" to launch kayaks from or just paddle in the water. It was a nice quiet relaxing atmosphere. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed including cooking facilities, bed was comfortable and just felt like a home away from home. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We are already trying to work out when we can go back again. Love it there!

Wanted a quick an easy meal while we were staying in Glenelg. Talk about quick and easy!! I literally walked in, ordered my quarter chicken and garden salad and by the time I had paid and got my change one of the staff had it all ready to go. Fastest service Ive ever had! Staff were friendly, prices were about standard. The chicken was delicious and moist, the garden salad fresh and tasty. Lots of other options on the menu which I will be sure to try next time I am in the area such as burgers, hot packs, yiros etc.

It's hard to find a good trustworthy mechanic but these guys are great. They told me everything that was wrong with my car but werent pushy on getting it all fixed immediately, explained what was priority or a safety issue and said to keep an eye on the rest and look at it down the track when I can afford it. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and explain things properly. Price is pretty good too, mechanics are never cheap but they are competitively priced and its well worth it for the service provided.

I have been here a few times for routine vaccinations and check ups for my pets. The vets and nurses are always so nice and friendly and explain things well. They are very patient and caring. Like most vets, the arent cheap, but they certainly aren't expensive either, and its worth it for the good health of my pets and the great service they provide. I know they do a lot of work with local dog and cat rescues too which is a lovely gesture.

After spending the night in Hahndorf, my boyfriend and I decided to try here for breakfast. It was getting towards the end of breakfast service so was quite busy when we first walked in but soon cleared out. Staff were attentive but seemed a little hurried to get orders and move things along. Food took quite a while to come out which was a bit of a negative. I had the fruit salad topped with yoghurt. Large serve of various melons, grapes and strawberries and the yoghurt was divine. My boyfriend had a big breakfast, eggs, bacon, sausage, spinach, mushroom. He said he really enjoyed it. It was a little more on the expensive side but good quality.

After dinner at another local pub, my boyfriend and I went for a walk along the Main Street and I decided I was ready for dessert. We stopped here. So glad we did. I had a cherry parfait and it was one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten! The restaurant inside was quite busy, so we decided just to sit out the front with our desserts and enjoy the beautiful evening. Lovely atmosphere. Could've easily sat here all night. Staff were friendly but seemed a bit rushed, which is fair enough as it was a busy place. Our desserts came out very quickly though which was unexpected but good of course. Would love to try some of their mains next time we are in the area.

While spending the weekend in Hahndorf we decided to eat here for dinner. We had booked a table earlier in the day as it was a Saturday night and didnt know how busy they'd get. We went at 6pm so it was still fairly quiet. Staff were friendly. The meals came out quite quickly which was great. I had the porterhouse steak which was cooked perfectly, and the Rhine potatoes were just delicious. My boyfriend a combination of steak, sausage and pork belly. He gave me some of the sausage and pork belly to try and it was amazing! Meals weren't cheap but they were generous sizes and top quality. Will definitely be back soon. Want to try the 1 metre hot dog challenge!!
