This review is for The George Harcourt Inn, Nicholls ACT

Lunch at George Harcourt Inn is a "must" on a trip to Federation Square. They serve pub food at its best - unpretentious and well-prepared. Sitting in the courtyard on a warm afternoon is a very pleasant way to while away the time.

This review is for Harvest Coffee, Canberra ACT

Harvest has a pleasant ambience and smells deliciously of coffee. The sign on the door says, "Best Coffee in Canberra", which may very well be true. Their baked goods are always delicious and very fresh, and the service is friendly.

All coffee shops should be this good!

This review is for Coffee Club, Phillip ACT

The Coffee Club is a handy cafe for lunch or a snack. While it's always very busy, the service is unfailingly friendly and professional. They serve good quality tea, coffee and cold drinks, although sometimes the baked goods are less than perfectly fresh.

This review is for Nu-Cut Salon, Canberra ACT

My husband and I decided to try Nu-Cut Salon after reading the reviews here at WOMO, and we weren't disappointed!

I was very happy with my colour and cut, as well as Maggie's advice. As well, we saved about $100 from the prices charged by our former hairdresser.

This review is for Cafe In The House, Parkes ACT

verified email - 28 Oct 2014

Cafe in the House is a funky little cafe tucked away in the Museum of Australian Democracy (Old Parliament House). It's perfect for a casual lunch or snack when visiting the Museum or nearby attractions in the Parliamentary Triangle.

The range of food available is what you would expect from this type of cafe, although the quality is higher than the usual. The cafe is licensed too, which is an added bonus.

This review is for 38 Espresso, Kingston ACT

38 Espresso is a casual little cafe on the Kingston Foreshore, perfect for a reviving pot of tea on a walk around Lake Burley Griffin.

We like the funky "shabby chic" decor, friendly service, relaxed atmosphere and excellent raisin toast - arguably the best in Canberra!

This review is for Mezzalira, Acton ACT

verified email - 28 Oct 2014

Mezzalira has been a favourite of ours for many years, and our recent visit lived up to expectations. For lunch, we were offered a seasonal menu, plus a small selection of blackboard specials.

The food is authentic Italian, and as other reviewers have noted, the portion sizes are "just right" - neither too large, nor too small. Our food was absolutely delicious, the service was friendly and professional, and the atmosphere was relaxed.

We will definitely be coming here again.

This review is for Canberra Cosmetic Medicine Centre, Deakin ACT

I have been seeing Dr Gibson for many years for Botox, dermal fillers, skin lightening and skin tag/mole removal. I've always found him to be very skilled.

Best of all, the treatments are long-lasting and look very natural.

This review is for Clinic 88, Macquarie ACT

The guys at Clinic 88 are the only physiotherapists I can trust - and I've dealt with a few!

The Clinic 88 physios don't only treat your injury, but see whether it may be caused by other factors, such as misalignment or tightness in another part of the body, poor posture, or poor form while exercising.

Clinic 88 has clinics in Woden and Deakin, as well as Belconnen. They also offer Pilates, posture and post-natal classes.

This review is for Xpresso Bar, Canberra ACT

verified email - 07 Sep 2014

The Xpresso Bar is a pleasant oasis in the Canberra Centre. It serves excellent coffee and baked goodies which are a cut above the usual - the biscotti are particularly good. The staff are always courteous and very efficient.

A quick coffee at the Xpresso Bar has become part of my routine when shopping in the city.
