We contacted Stain Busters afer reading the positive reviews on WOMO, and weren't disappointed. They did a great job cleaning our carpet, and it looks and smells great. The cost for two small rooms was $95.

Our 15-year old carpet has been buckling and starting to look like a crinkle-cut chip, so we contacted BMS Floor Coverings to have it re-laid. (Apparently, this problem is not unusual, because over time, the glue backing on the carpet dries and hardens, meaning that the carpet won't lie flat.)

Brent was prompt and pleasant to deal with, and our carpet is now looking good. Re-laying the carpet in two small rooms took about an hour (for two men) and cost $200.

The Apollo Bay Hotel provides the kind of food and service you would expect from a hotel.

We dined there twice on our recent holiday. My husband was impressed with his steak, which was better quality than most hotels provide, so ordered the same dish on our second visit; again, it was excellent quality. I was disappointed with my salmon, which was overcooked, so ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad the next time, which was excellent.

Sandy Feet is a great little place for a casual lunch in Apollo Bay. The home-style food is excellent and freshly prepared - perfect if you're on holiday and feel a bit salad-deprived!

We will definitely call in on our next trip to Apollo Bay.

I wish there were more cafes like Ricetta - it's ideal for a quick casual lunch, a snack, or just a coffee. It's also licensed, which is great if, like me, you enjoy a glass of wine without having a full restaurant meal.

The day we visited, it was blisteringly hot and we didn't want much to eat, so we shared an antipasto plate, a large bottle of water and finished with truly excellent coffee.

We will definitely call in on our next trip to Manuka.

I have been going to Love Nails for over a year, and recently decided to switch allegiances to another nail salon in Belconnen Mall.

I have found the quality of my manicures to be inconsistent: sometimes the manicurist does a good job, but more often than not, I'm left with unevenly shaped nails and hangnails - which is not what I'm paying for!

On a recent trip to Warrnambool, a staff member at our resort recommended The Pavilion Cafe & Bar as "the" place to lunch. He was right! I had a fantastic calamari and rocket salad while enjoying the sea breeze and views of the beach.

We returned the next day for coffee and home-style baked goodies, which were also excellent.

I would highly recommend Pavilion Cafe & Bar for casual dining on the Warrnambool beachfront.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch at Optic Kitchen & Bar on a recent trip to Melbourne. We originally planned to lunch at one of the more trendy (and expensive) establishments at Southbank, but are glad we tried Optic, as the food and service was of comparable quality, but considerably less expensive.

All our food was delicious and beautifully presented. I have to give a special thumbs-up to the cheese plate which was generous with a good variety of cheeses and the perfect ratio of cheese to crackers - too often, cheese plates seem to be flung together as an afterthought.

I would recommend Optic Kitchen & Bar to round out a visit to Federation Square.

My husband and I like to have a manicure every two weeks or so, and have had mixed experiences at the two other nail salons in Belconnen Mall, so we thought we would try Golden Nails & Spa.

Unlike the other nail salons we have tried, Golden Nails & Spa are more than happy to provide manicures for male customers. In fact, some of their staff are male, and they try to provide a male manicurist for my husband where possible.

We always receive efficient and courteous service at Golden Nails & Spa, and have been pleased with our manicures. The Salon also has a loyalty program which saves a few dollars.

Really, there's nothing not to like!

I can't say enough positive things about Tuan and his staff. I have been coming to TT Fashion since they were recommended to me about 13 years ago. During that time, I have lost four dress sizes and Tuan basically re-modelled my entire wardrobe, saving me a great deal of money.

Most of my clothes need to be altered to fit and Tuan always does an excellent job. As well, he is happy to make alterations that other tailors refuse to do - such as shortening the sleeves of jackets with contrast detail on the cuffs - and the results have always been perfect.
