Don't let the fact she sells via ebay put you off - she makes amazing personalised gifts! Ceramic plates, cups, mugs or platters can be customised for weddings, christenings, birthdays - any occasion! Perfect when you don't know what to get for someone or for the child with an unusual name. Great prices, beautiful artwork and pickup is available from Frankston

They claim to be a DVD specialist, but don't expect too large a range in store. They provide online access to their internet site in-store, and if you ask for something they can 'order it in' - but be wary - I have placed orders which they cancel without notifying me 2 months later - and they didn't refund my deposit! Online ordering is much better - get it sent direct to your door. Order over a certain amount and get free courier shipping!

One of the first stores I have found to sell imported DVDs. They are able to source hard-to-find movies for you, and they have a comprehensive ordering system - its available anywhere in the world they can source it for you (though it may take some time sometimes). A little bit pricey, but you expect this for imports. Their range is growing everyday.

This hotel is rated four and a half stars, but they must have bribed the people who do the ratings! The room was adequate but far from 4 and a half stars. The elevators are ancient, you may as well use the stairs, it'll be quicker. Our room was not soundproofed at all, and all we could hear all night was the screeching elevator. Staff were unresponsive to feedback. You can stay anywhere else for the same price!

This review is for Comics R Us, Melbourne VIC

Specialising in all types of comics, the staff are very knowledgeable about their field. They also have a good selection of action figures and other collectables. The staff are quite friendly, and if you are lucky you might even overhear an interesting conversation about the latest comic-book movie - truly nerd-worthy! Located on bourke street up from target, down and alley and up some stairs - look out for the sign because you could miss it!

This review is for AMC Australian Multiplex Cinemas, Frankston VIC

Great cinema! They offer a movie club which actually offers you something! The discount you receive when you join the club makes going to the movies affordable again. They don't throw you out if you want to bring in a coffee from the adjacent cafe, the staff are friendly and the furnishings are great - the chairs even recline slightly for maximum comfort. My favorite thing about AMC is before the movie starts - while you are waiting for the trailers, they put up cute little movie trivia questions which you can answer with your friends.

Cinema opened fairly recently, however they have started to go downhill. Rarely enough staff to cater for volume of customers, not to mention the inflated prices at the candybar! Furnishings getting increasingly shabby, films often don't start on time and once I didn't even get any trailers!

This review is for Minotaur, Melbourne VIC

One of the few stores catering for "nerds," Minotaur has increasingly been providing a wide range of comics & related collectables. The service varies - the guy with the beard and the only lady are really great. They get quite busy so I believe their service can suffer because of it. Store is a little disorganised, but they have also gone through a revamp recently. Also makes it more fun sorting through piles of stuff looking for your gem! Ordering system is appauling - I've waited months with no response at times. But they do get a wide range of comic titles which are imported, and you can subscribe so you dont miss out. Huge Mange section also.

This review is for Rice Bar Not Only Rice, Carlton VIC

Extremely great value and amazing service for the price. Located on the corner of Swanston & Grattan streets in the city, Rice Bar Not Only Rice is obviously popular among students - but don't be afraid if you aren't a student either! Generous meals for under $10.00 Rice Bar Not Only Rice is open for lunch & dinner. The menu is varied & easy to understand. The space is large, chairs with cushions available at the window. Being a westerner, I did not feel intimidated entering this establishment, rather, I felt quite welcome and catered for. A flask of green tea welcomes you at your table (complimentary as well!) and knives and forks are just as available as chopsticks!

This bookstore has the ultimate personal touch! Small and cosy, it even has its own little coffee area where you can sit and enjoy your purchases. A great range of all different titles, beautiful layout and a comprehensive range of ABC materials. I have always found what I've been looking for, and the staff are more than friendly. They will order a title in for you in the rare case they don't have it in. Comfortable atmosphere and you don't get that impersonal feeling of most of the chain stores, yet they have similar prices. Support this bookstore!
