This review is for Mad Monk Brew Cafe, Fremantle WA

The food is great at Mad Monk, and there are a range of different (not just your standards) on the menu. The serving sizes are quite small so can leave you with that not-quite-full feeling. The bread they make fresh on the premises is yum. The decor is very funky, I even felt that despite being a young person, perhaps I wasn't cool enough to be in here - true Fremantle spirit!

I've been to the Norfolk a number of times for lunch. The food is good - the pizzas and steak sandwiches are the best, but the service times and wait times are often a little longer than I'd like for lunch (especially if on a work lunch break). The outdoor area is well decorated and a great place to relax.

The food I've eaten at Benny's has always been really good and I don't think the drinks are overpriced like a lot of bars. You can eat outside or inside depending on your preference and they serve a range of meals with a predominantly Italian-Australian flavour. The squid salad and the pasta are the two things I would recommend, but everything looks delicious. Apparently the roof opens sometimes too, but I haven't been lucky enough to see this!

These guys serve the best fish and chips in Perth. The service is fast and efficient and the food is great every time. There are a range of meals starting at your standard fish and chips pack ranging right up to spaghetti marinara (and non-seafood things too). Sitting out on the jetty on a balmy summer night is the best!

Just good, consistent fish and chips. At times I've found the batter is quite greasy, but this is fish and chips we're talking about! There are of course options for grilled fish, and the portion sizes are average. There's a good variety of sides including different salads to choose from. This place is hailed as the best fish & chips in Perth - not sure if I agree, however it's very good and always consistent in quality.

This review is for Elie's Tent, Victoria Park WA

Ellie's tent is a Lebanese restaurant. I visited with 3 friends and was impressed with the quality and quantity of all the food. I ordered a cheese dish as entree which turned out to be feta cheese covered in diced tomato, not what I was expecting from reading the menu. My main course was a BBQ plate, and I gobbled everything on it with glee! The decor is beautiful and inviting, with coloured drapes all around, and the family who run the restaurant are very friendly. I don't think they sell alcohol so make sure you bring your own bottle of wine. I will definitely be visiting again!

The people who own this business have become friends of mine so I do have a personal connection with the owner. I was very happy with my recent car service and was provided with a full verbal and written explanation of everything that had been done and the corresponding charges, which seemed reasonable to me and were all itemised so there were no hidden costs. I would recommend this business as a trustworthy, reliable mechanic who will not rip you off or charge you for things you did not ask for/need.

This place is excellent for a hearty meal and I was very happy with my steak and chips which were well priced and huge! My only complaint was that after half an hour and three requests my coffee never came.

This review is for Riki Blake's Cafe, North Perth WA

I have visited Rikki Blake's a couple of times for coffee and cake, and have always been impressed by the quality of everything I've had. These guys are also open for dinner, which I haven't tried. The decor is funky yet cosy with indoor and outdoor dining options.

Jacksons is best known for their degustation menu, which costs around $200 with matching wines, and is a whole afternoon of eating! The menu changes seasonally so check the web site. I've been here twice for work functions and was very impressed at the fine dining experience offered. The service is top notch and the food is of the finest quality. If you like something unusual, this place is for you - if you're not into ideas like anchovy icecream or just trying different things, perhaps it's not your scene.
