Expensive to get into, pricy drinks but good DJ's. The crowd is not the friendliest but still not bad, lots of 'just turned 18 so going out to first club i see' types. The main room felt pretty good when it was busy, the atmosphere is not too bad. Still not a bad club to have in Hawthorn but not the best.
Overpriced, overcrowded and generic crowd. When you pay $15 to enter a 'club' i expect decent music, crowd and drink prices. They fail on all three. Drinks are expensive considering the generic range they have, the DJ's they get are usual ministry style cd-playing kind of dj's (think press play on a cd and leave the decks) and they crowd is newly turned teeny boppers, polo shirt wearing types and overly pretentious chicks. If you have no where else to go.
The only reason i went here was because someone bought us a few free drinks. When i bought my own i found the prices of beer to be about average pub prices. There is nothing special here for young people when there is so much else to do locally. If you want to just watch sport on a screen then you could come here but thats about it.
A relaxed 3 level bar that will set you back $12 for a jug. The staff are friendly but they obviously don't have enough working because there is always a cue to get a drink which can be annoying. I don't understand why they have a DJ there on some nights because no body dances. The top floor bar would be your best bet for fast service and the couches and seats are easier to get hold of. The smoking deck is good if you have a bunch of people you want to sit around a big table. Relaxed, trendy and enjoyable.
Serving mainly uni students this bar is not overly expensive and often has a cover band playing. A night each month will have a dress up theme, has a over crowded deck out back and very hard to find a seat though it is a pub so why bother sitting. Thursday nights are good though they are open other times.
