The store was very busy (as is usually the case in Telstra Shops) but the attitude of the sales guy Ben was great and made it more tolerable. When it was our turn, he greeted us and immediately apologised for the wait in a genuine manner. We needed help for my elderly mother and he was friendly and patient in his explanations and suggestions. He set up Mum's mobile to automatically make her pre paid credits give her the best value for money in future. He also gave Mum some prepaid bonus $ as well. Mum loved it, great goodwill gesture!
We were considering changing service providers, but have now stayed with Telstra.

Friendly, attentive and non pushy service. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the prices were reasonable. Much better than my last visit here.
My one suggested point for improvement is the ladies toilets which are still in need of an update.

Overall much better than supermarket prices and freshness. For example broccoli purchased here lasts much better than from the supermarket and can be about $2 per kg less. Some stock might be slightly blemished (such as apples or pears), but it still tastes great.

I went to A Rani Thai with a friend for lunch. We had their $10 lunch special of Pad Thai. The service was fast but far from friendly, the food was acceptable but not much different to what I could have made myself at home. OK for a quick, reasonable lunch but pretty average. I won't be hurrying back to try their dinner menu, there's better Thai Restaurants in Geelong.

Great books and the Borders staff are always helpful. The coffee at Gloria Jeans is consistently good, staff are friendly and the food is OK too. Just a pity only disposable cups etc are used.

Approximate cost: $8-10 coffee and cake/muffin

Friendly, attentive and fast service. Delicious Pad Thai with both chicken and big juicy prawns. It looks quite ordinary from outside, but it's cosy and comfortable inside. Thoughtful touches such as flowers and rose petals decorating the restrooms help it stand out from the pack. Judging by what I've heard from friends Lorm Thai is consistently good - I've never heard a bad report. Takeaway service was popular too - it was hard to squeeze through on our way out!

Approximate cost: $16-20 main course

This review is for Nina's Rosticceria & Pasticceria, Docklands VIC

Had lunch at Nina's last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food is simple with a limited range but delicious. You choose from the cabinet and it is warmed and brought to the table. My friend had lasagna and I had the eggplant parmigiana (eggplant lasagna). Only about $10 each. Great flavours, tasted home made with care - not mass made; only criticism was that it was just luke warm. Desert however was excellent. We shared a vanilla slice which was one of the best I've ever tasted - creamy custard, not too sweet and perfect pastry (and reasonably priced at $3.50). Coffee was good also. The staff were friendly and attentive, service fast. A pity about the hoarding around the closed ferris wheel, it spoils the atmosphere a bit, but otherwise a great cafe.

Approximate cost: $10

I have previously purchased my prescription lens and frames here and found their range, service and value excellent. Their price was much better than where I had initially had my eyes tested, with a far larger range of frames. It really does pay to shop around – don't just get your glasses where you have your eye test!

Since then, my husband and I have both had our eye tests done there and the optometrist is friendly and helpful. She explains things well, (some optometrists don't interact much) and was able to do my eye test straight away. All the staff are friendly and helpful.

Bought 2 x Delta sofas in black leather. All seemed fine until they were delivered – the leather used was of vastly differing standards and looked dreadful. Some panels were fine (as per the sample we were shown), others were wrinkled and loose like baggy old rhino skin. These panels were side by side and very obvious.

The showroom salesman at King in Richmond who handled the sale was not interested at all – no after sales service from them. We had to chase it through their head office, spending hours on phone calls and follow ups. Eventually they arranged pick up and dropped off a loan sofa (at our insistence) while our two went back for repair. They came back much better, but this shouldn't have happened in the first place at this price range. King's quality control must have been poor.

We have also found that the seats have sagged…. so much for their much hyped steel frames!! But we haven't found the time or inclination to go through this frustrating experience again.

They treat customers like used car salesmen did about 20 years ago! Very pushy, they ensure you talk to the salesman who saw you on your first visit, don't like it if you question things and they disparaged other bed shops. Not the standard of professional service we expected at all.

They have a good range of quality beds, (although at higher prices than comparable elsewhere) but we couldn't wait to get out of the shop. My husband and I couldn't believe their hard sell approach. We understand that sales might be a bit slow, but we refuse to be pushed by “if you buy today” type sales pitch.

If this was their approach before purchase, I'd hate to think what they'd be like if you needed after sales service!

Approximate cost: $3-5,000
