After I got over the initial shock of how much it cost, I had a tow bar installed on my car. Product is good quality and installation done well, but I was disappointed that they didn't ring me as agreed when job was done. I rang an hour after indicated time to check on job and was told that it was done. When I commented that I was expecting a call I was told that they were busy ... um, so am I and I cancelled an appointment because I couldn't get to it without a car!

Approximate cost: $750

Great country bakery with a huge range of hot pastries and rolls. Fantastic cakes. Very busy but staff have it all down pat and service is quick. Huge seating area, which is needed. Coffee is reasonable too - not fabulous but does the trick. Child-friendly and close to other shops.

fleurieuaccommodation.com.au is a holiday rental booking website, linked with Century 21 Real Estate. Website is amazingly easy to use - you can search by budget, number of guests, beachfront, facilities such as a/c and dishwasher, etc, etc. If it is available for holiday hire in the Normanville area it is on this website. Availability and ability to book easily seen/done on website, although I rang them and got a cheaper price than that advertised on the website. Pictures of properties and map of location helps with decision-making. Great customer service - I had an issue with my car in the morning of arrival so was not able to pick up keys during business hours - arranged for a friend who was also holidaying in the region to collect them with no hassle. Cannot fault them.

A bacon and egg muffin plus coffee for under $10 - hello!!!! Great value and excellent quality. We did get 3 of our group of 10's after the rest as they were pre-ordered with coffee (they did not have enough change for a $50 for just the coffee) and they did not remember to add them to the order when the others had ordered, but no biggie. Great value!

Brilliant bakery!!! Very busy but staff very organised so service is quick. Great with kids. Amazing range of baked goods and cakes. Huge seating area. Reasonably priced. And a reasonable coffee too - not brilliant but it does the trick.

Cute little country setting with great outside seating in a courtyard out the back. Excellent wood oven pizzas and the thai pad thai and choo chee chicken were excellent (Thai is on the menu on the last weekend of the month, from memory). HOWEVER, service is incredibly slow - not good when you have a gaggle of children with you. Wait staff are very apologetic and friendly but it doesn't help much when kids are growling for food after 45 minutes. A small table that ordered after our group of 16 was served before us. Understandable, I guess, but in that course they should have served kids their meals separately and first so that they could play afterwards and we could enjoy ours when they got around to serving it. I think $15 corkage at a country pizza place is a bit steep too. Could also look to investigate a better exhaust system as we absolutely reeked of the oven fumes when we left. Update on the donkey situation too - he has gone to the big farm in the sky.

My 3 and 5 year olds do weekly swimming lessons at Norwood Swim School. It's hard to rate them - some teachers are great, others not; some admin staff are great, others not; consistency is definitely not a strength. My 5 year old has been going since he was 6 months and received only 1 certificate (when he changed from dolphin to pufferfish class), my 3 year old received 2 certificates in her class last week alone! Teachers do not appear to keep even brief records and very few provide feedback to parents unless asked. If you miss a class, it can be difficult to arrange a make up class, particularly to book ahead, it seems to be more of a last minute possibility. If they introduced a cancellation policy - 12 hours notice or no make up class (ie people would lose out financially) I think they would have a better idea of which classes are not going to be full further in advance and therefore could offer more options.

I would rather go to one of the fast food chain Italian restaurants (Pasta Fasta, Primo, etc) than this place. Great location but the service was lacklustre at best. And the food when it arrived was almost inedible. I ordered salt and pepper squid and it was pale and soggy. The salad consisted of limp lettuce, one piece of cucumber and two pieces of tomato. Kids serves were small (fine for my little ones but would not suit an 8 or 9 year old, I would have thought) and came with no salad whatsoever. Not impressed.

Unlike others I did not have a pleasant experience at this place. If I had wanted chunks of hair where there shouldn't be chunks of hair I would wax myself. Very disappointed and won't go back.

This place is horrendous. Enter at own risk. After waiting for 10 minutes at the door to be seated, acknowledged only by a nod from a waitress taking a long order but ignored by two other waiters who served tables near us, we made our way into the restaurant to the bar/takeaway area. Four staff then proceeded to ignore us for another 5 minutes until the waitress came into that area and proceeded to do something there. It was then that we interrupted her very important work to ask if we could at least sit at our table. Once there it took another seven minutes or so to get menus and then when we ordered our food it took 25 minutes to arrive - rather excessive for curries. And when it arrived - absolute let-down. I have never tasted Indian so bad - the chicken korma was so salty it was almost inedible and the lamb with spinach was, by comparison, so bland I would rather eat cardboard. And that was the last of the service for us. We sat for quite some time after our mains with no plate removal or offer of dessert/another drink. Will not be back. Ever.
