Arranged a half day tour for a group in Surfers Paradise. What a thrill to see and hear a bunch of immaculate Harleys roar up to collect us, with a group of typical biker looking guys and girls who could not have been more friendly and accommodating. Fantastic experience - highly recommend.

A group of us stayed in a cabin at Cedar Creek Lodges and they were nothing special. Very outdated bunk style rooms with adequate kitchen facilities. Difficult to find lodges from the map we were given.

This little convenience store literally has the basics that you need when you run out of something/forget something when you go camping. Very limited stock but suitable for bread, milk and fishing supplies. Was surprised they weren't more friendly, as small businesses in areas like this normally are.

Booked a cocktail party at sunset on the top floor. The food was incredible! I've never had such great finger food, and I've been to a lot of cocktail parties. The staff were fantastic and the view is absolutely incredible. I highly recommend Q1 for a special function.

This is one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had! Feet are strapped into boots attached to a board (similar to snowboard) that is powered by hose attached to jetski. I managed to get about 14 feet into the air and did some rough-looking dolphin dives. Truly feels like flying. The business is run by the 21st ranked flyboarder in the world and the two guys (Peter and Dale) are amazing. They adapt to the different levels of skill and ability to get out of the water and are very encouraging and give great instructions. If you travel to the Sunshine Coast and love a thrill you simply MUST do flyboarding.

Approximate cost: $185

We popped into the Lighthouse for a quick refreshment after returning to the mainland from Straddie. What a gorgeous venue! Seaside décor and seaside views. We did not have time to eat but the seafood looked amazing! The staff were very friendly and service was fast.

This review is for Stradbroke Ferries, Cleveland QLD

We took a vehicle and passengers over to North Stradbroke Island, on the vehicular ferry one way and on the Red Cat the other. The Red Cat is a much better option, as there is a dining area, toilets, etc, whereas on the vehicle ferry you can either sit in your car amongst a row of trucks and cars or stand. The ferries run bang on time, which is great, but if you miss your ferry (as we did!) the staff are very accommodating about putting you on the next one. Great service.

Went to Seashells Café for breakfast and it was fabulous. Good old bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, tomatoes - the lot! Service was fantastic - laid back island style but efficient. And the coffee was good!

Took the family to North Stradbroke Island, which I cannot recommend highly enough. Luke from Straddie Adventures was absolutely brilliant - took us sandboarding and kayaking. He is new to the business but could not be more helpful and knowledgable. Worked with all levels of skill and everyone had a ball. Highly recommended.

If you are going to camp this is the way to do it! Stunning campsite on the northern tip of North Stradbroke Island. We stayed in a cabin whilst the kids camped. Cabins were more than adequate with good kitchen facilities. Campsite is right on the beachfront. Staff were amazingly helpful and bbq/toilet/shower facilities excellent. Highly recommend.
