The Sky Lodges at Binna Burra are absolutely stunning. I stayed in the "Bridegrooom" lodge and the view over the mountains literally took my breath away. Gorgeous décor inside with facilities to remain completely self-sufficient if that is your preference. Stunning bathrooms and amazingly comfortable beds. I will be back.

This place is a little piece of heaven. Gorgeous cottages take you back to a time when you could just sit, relax and enjoy. Stunning grounds, including a gazebo in which you can sit and just enjoy the amazing view. The staff are exceptional, led by the owner who simply cannot do enough for you. Absolutely amazing.

I'm not a fan of dentists (is anyone?) and Adrian from Blackwood Dental was recommended to me by someone who has an absolute phobia! Adrian is excellent - he is very thorough. He is also matter of fact - I had managed to keep putting off braces with my previous dentist but Adrian explained the consequences of not having them on (stumps for teeth!) so I did and he worked closely with my orthodontist throughout the process. I have to travel quite a distance to see Adrian and keep thinking I will have to change to somewhere closer but he is so good that I just can't make myself do it!

Very happy with James' preparation of my tax return. It was a fairly uncomplicated return but he prepared it quickly and efficiently, asked all the right questions and followed up when I was slow to sign and return.

David is a good, hard-working landscape gardener who really listens to what you want before coming up with a garden to suit your taste and lifestyle. Reasonably priced and always delivers what he promises

Duthy Thai is an old favourite that I go back to once or twice a year. The restaurant itself is nothing to look at but, as with many of these places, the food more than makes up for it. I have not had a meal that I have not thoroughly enjoyed. Great for big groups as it does get noisy. Service is very efficient. Great for a quick meal when you can't be bothered cooking.

I accidentally rang Magill instead of Newton to book my son's haircut and as it was closer to home I thought I would give it a shot. Worst haircut he has ever had - uneven and left too long. We were the only ones in the salon and I understand why.

This is not a trendy café with polished concrete floors and exposed brick detailing on the walls. What it is is a good, honest café serving good, honest food. You can get everything from a sandwich to lasagne to roast of the day. The service is fabulous - the ladies are very friendly - and on a nice day it is the perfect spot to sit outside and have a reasonable coffee.

The Mile End Hotel was a pleasant surprise. Have worked very close by for months but not been tempted. Had lunch there today and the food was great! Beautifully presented and very good quality, perfectly cooked. Reasonable wine list and very friendly service, as well as a decent coffee. Will be back

Following poor service at another shop I visited Lifecycle and was very happy. Knowledgeable, happy to answer all my questions and to come up with solutions to my needs I ended up buying a bike, tandem seat for my daughter, helmet and car carrier as well as the intended bike for my son. Probably would have liked a little more discount considering the amount that I bought but definitely can't complain about the service.
