I went in here once last year on the way to work to have some breakfast with friends and found it to be a very small cafe which was very busy and cramped. As well as being cramped it was noisy and we had to wait for a while to get a table. The food was good and the menu had a great range but found the coffee to be very expensive. We waited quite a while to be served and in the end we went and asked to be served. Food did come out quickly though. If i was to go here again i would go early so it wasnt so busy and noisy.

Villa Italiana is the cheapest Italian restaurant in launceston by far. Prices range from about $5 to $20. We often go here when holidaying back in launceston. We find it is the cheapest place for the whole family to go and that it is very family friendly. They offer a great range of kids meals with dearest one being about $8. My daughter prefers to have an adult meal though as she finds the kids meals dont fill her. she loves the spaghetti carbonara that much that it is the only thing she will eat when we go there. My partner had the mixed grill on our last visit and reckoned it was cooked to perfection. Me I prefer their beef burger topped off with tiramisu for desert. The staff are very nice and orders are quick in coming out to tables.

Approximate cost: $10-$20

I have dined a few times since moving to Mulwala at start of this year and cant fault their food or their service. They are by far the best Italian restaurant in the area. The waitress we had the last time we were there was very pleasant and friendly. Actually the whole service was terrific really. They offer a huge variety on their menu but my favourite would be their creamy tomato, bacon and garlic pasta dish. Every time we have been there we have always eaten everything on our plates because everything is so nice you dont want to waste anything. I also like that if you have pizza and you dont finish it they will put it in a takeaway container for you to take with you. The prices are great and the food is even better. will definitely be going here again

suwan thai would have to be one of the better thai restaurants in launceston. It has a friendly atmosphere and the restaurant is set out beautifully. They have a dine in menu or a take away menu. The take away menu is a lot cheaper than dining in but if you want to relax and have a great meal i recommend dining in. My favourite dish is Pad Preow Waan which you can have with stir fried beef pork or chicken. i Love it with beef with the sweet and sour thai sauce....yummo. The service can sometimes be good but it also can be bad. i have had both. The prices are decent with most main meals starting around $14

i have only been here once as my family dont like trying new foods so i talked a friend into coming with me and im glad we went as the food tasted beautiful and was displayed nicely on the plate. I had choo-chee prawns which was so nice and my friend had masaman beef which she found very spicy. so i would recommend if you dont like really spicy food as for a mild version when ordering. The staff were very nice and courteous us. The prices was about what you expected to pay, i think it was somethink like $20 a meal depending on what you had

i have dined here a few times over the years and have always found the meals to be quite large serves and very tasty. The service isnt the best and the staff rarely smile but on all the occasions i have been there they have been extremely busy so could have been that they were rushed off there feet. The prices are dearer than similar places around and they also wont split the bill if you are in a group, which is annoying. On our last visit it took the staff a long time to take our order and then there was a mix up with our meals and we received a meal we didnt order.

i have been to Franco's a few times over the years. I always found the food to be delicious but found the service to be very poor. The staff can get very stroppy and impatient very quickly. But if you can put up with that it is a good restaurant to eat at. It is a true italian restaurant right down to the beautiful bruschetta the make. My favourtie pasta dish is Spaghetti Pescatora but the rest of the family quite enjoy their home made lasagne. as well as pasta they also sell chicken, veal and seafood dishes and a range of italian desserts. We have always been full after our main meal so have never tried their desserts. The prices are reasonable for the size and quality. I think it cost us about $70 for all 3 of us to eat which i thought was good.

i only found this by chance last year and was very glad i did as the do the nicest pastas around. You can buy take around pasta to take home or you can dine in. Their prices are extraordinarily cheap and everything is so fresh. I love their home made gnocchi which if think was roughly about $13. They also sell gelati which i havent tried yet but have heard is very yummy. The customer service was outstanding and very quick with orders

we use to go to the all year round a lot when we lived in launceston. The atmosphere was always friendly and you felt welcome there. The meals were really nice and quite large in size. the only problem we had was you had to wait quite a while for your meals to come to your table. The bar staff were always polite and catered to your needs very quickly. My favourite meal here would be their chicken parma. It is a small hotel but we never felt cramped while eating there

i have only brought take away from here once at the start of the year and i would never go back there. We brought 5 potato cakes and out of the 5 there was 3 that was black on the inside where the potato was rotten. Now i understand that this cant be helped when they buy there potato cakes already made but it was the rudeness of the staff that turned me off. When we returned back to the store and showed them the potato cakes there answer was so what it wont hurt you. we asked for replacement of potato cakes and the staff was very reluctant to give them to us. From that day on i have never walked back into this take away store
