Amazing venue, like an old cinema but better than that, great atmosphere, cosy, well laid out and has the best medium sized bands playing there.
Due to the low capacity, admission prices are very high though, so you have to really like a band to go see them. It makes for a great gig venue, but not a show venue.
Crowd were a bit odd, they don't dance, and crowd the front just to stand there, won't let anyone through. I felt sorry for the band awaiting feedback from a crowd just staring at them.

Large shop with all the musical lights and knobs you could wish to look at on display. Prices are the best you will find, checkout their specials, always new gear at 25% off available. Free postage on orders is also a bonus.

First stop for all my accessories, they treat you with respect and are down to earth honest people. Picked up some real bargains on pool cues too.

Best home brew shop I've ever been to in 12 years of brewing. Has an amazing line up of hops, including many from NZ,, and they are as fresh as a daisy. I live 2 hours away, but they will post me hops for minimum charge.

Bought a 2nd hand mower from these guys and it has never had a problem. Also bought a new Honda whipper snipper, and it was the cheapest price. These people are full on professional and I'd recommend them for all repair work and good prices on new items.

Sat in for fish n chips with friends, food quality and serve size was excellent, and the friendly service matched. The decor has vastly improved lately, and is in fact breathtaking. Best place you can spend your money around here.. Craft beer available now too.

Used to be a great place with UK beer and even Middlesbrough Parmo on the menu. But recently they have stopped selling British beers in this British pub, so it's now just another Brisbane bar. Lots of complaints from friends about service, such a shame to see a good idea go wrong.

Newsagent, stationery store, treasure trove of gifts and toys, and experts in lotto with syndicates running (and winning). Service is always super friendly.

Moved to the area 6 years ago and just about every local will recommend frohlies meats for the best butcher around. We tried it a couple of times, but the prices were a little high for us. However all meat is expensive these days, so nowadays we eat less, but higher quality. Probably time to try these guys again.

If I lived in Brisbane this would be my kind of local bar. It's informal and the customer base is indie and alternative, safe and friendly. The live music they have here is from the very best to the very different. They sell craft beers, have free pool tables and saloon style decor. If you love music, beer and meeting interesting people, this is the #1 place.
