We have visited Balsamic many times over the last few years. Food is good, but service can vary from good to slow and inconsistent.
Somethings are good value for money but others over priced for what you get. For example The Thai wraps are very nice but I felt the iced-coffee was over-priced.
We ordered food and drinks - food came out together but when the drinks are different (ie hot and cold) often they come out at different times up to 15min apart. This has happened a few times where we have asked where the other drink is.
We probably continue to go their because we know what not to order and seems to be a popular meeting place. Generally food and drinks are taste good

This is not a local cafe for us but is well worth the trip over to Eltham. When in the area we often stop for morning or afternoon tea which is where we first discovered their Banana Bread with spiced whipped butter- very nice with a coffee. Recently we ventured their purposely for a breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed the "big breakfast". Everything they serve looks really fresh, tastes great and is great value for money. Great casual atmosphere. The painting on the side wall at the back of the cafe is great.

Peter and his staff are great. Peter has been looking after our pets for about 10 years. He has a very gentle way with animals, especially is they are nervous. I took my mum's dog who had a bad experience with another vet clinic and Peter was brilliant how he won the dog over with patience and understanding.

Lay-bys – be very careful and have plenty of time to spend. Lay-by service is very slow. Parcels are kept along way from the customer service area.
My story - I had placed a doona ($69) & towel ($15) on lay-by for my son (for Christmas) to replace his old ones. After dropping some hints about possibly replacing his old doona my son made it clear he liked his old doona and doesn't want a new one. So, I went back to Harris Scarf and intending to collect the towel and ask to return the doona. I was promptly told they don't do refunds or exchange on lay-by's. If I chose to cancel the lay-by I would loose all moneys already paid and they didn't split lay-by's. After pushing the point about still wanting the towel they said they don't split lay-by's I would have to pay out the lay-by to get the towel but they would not refund the doona. So this suddenly became a very expensive $15 towel anyway I looked at it. Shocked by this hard line I expressed my disbelief and that I wouldn't be in a hurry to shop their again. At that point the girl got her supervisor. I asked what would have happened if I had purchased through the checkout – I would have had 14 days to receive a full refund. They reluctantly allowed me to payout the lay-by, but before I could take the towel but I had to spend the value of the doona on another item of my choice and it had to be done now. After 1½ hrs I eventually found something. I wasn't happy about being forced to spend the $69.

I have always found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. They are thorough when it comes to medication. The pharmacist has always been happy to discuss any concerns relating to medication. They often have great specials that include everyday items.

I found the staff at Maroondah Lighting very helpful and willing to understand my situation and needs. My dealing with them was to replace existing lighting of which a portion involved an insurance claim. I found the service provided by Neshia exhibited expertise in this field. The service included discussing options beyond samples on display. Neshia patiently changed globes and glass covers to display differing effects which was very helpful. Then extra messing around included splitting quotes between the insurance company and myself which was done without difficulty. The service I experienced here out shone other lighting stores.

What an amazing find, a great little cafe. The staff are very friendly and offer great service going the extra mile. Great for lunch or just a cuppa. For lunch we had pancake terrine (chef's own creation) and roast vegetable salad - very enjoyable and great value for money and very affordable. Very easy to spend a couple of hours. They have a great range of cakes which include flourless cakes. I am looking forward to my next visit.

Gold Class - My first time & last time seeing a movie in Gold Class. The movie itself was great but I was very disappointed with the Gold Class experience. You pay $37 for a ticket to sit in a recliner. I'm not sure what I expected but for the money I thought you might at least get complimentary pop-corn but you had to pay an extra $6 for a small bucket. If you book your Gold Class ticket online you pay a $5 booking fee. That is $84 for just 2 movie tickets to sit in a recliner. Dinner for 2 another $70 plus drinks (wine starting at $7 a glass for house wine).

Huge pet store that covers every imaginable pet from the humble puppies and fish to exotic birds and reptiles. The staff is very informative and if they don't know they will find another staff member who does. Consequently you will pay a little more.

When I have taken my mower into Croydon Mowerpower its typically because I can't start it – only once have I had to book it in to be serviced/worked on. On 1 other occasions they made a simple 5 second adjustment on the spot without charge, another time he made suggestion as to what I could do to fix the problem to save money - it worked I really appreciate knowing I'm not being ripped off. If they say it needs work, then it probably does. Both these latter occasions could easily have used to solicit work. I really appreciate the integrity of this business.
