I was with another business for NBN access for a few months and they are generally excellent. However I found that Aussie Broadband has plans which are much better suited to my fairly low internet and VoIP usage (and their website isn't covered in stupid cartoons) so I signed up with them around 4PM one afternoon. Just after 8AM the next morning they finalised my transfer to the NBN. Now that is *fast*,

I've needed to talk to them about a few minor issues. All their support people are in Australia and they answer phones calls almost instantly. Brendan in Sales and Bryce in Technical Support have been patient and terrific. I'm very happy that I churned over to this company.

After years of having ISPs which really don't care about their customers and only want to make a big profit, I've found that Tangerine has outstanding customer service and technical support, as well as competitive pricing for NBN connections. My connection through them went really smoothly and I was very impressed with their short phone wait times and the expertise and friendliness of their support staff.

This review is for Todae, Glebe NSW

A timeline of my one and only attempt to do business with Todae:

12/5/12: I ordered an Eton Solar & Dynamo Powered Radio from the Todae internet website. It was for a friend who doesn't have internet access. The Todae website let me submit the order with no warning that they didn't have this product in stock. I instantly got an automatic e-mail giving me an order number. They immediately debited my Visa card for $71.90.

14/5/12: I received an e-mail which claimed that they had no stock of this radio and they were talking to their supplier about when it would be available.

28/5/12 (Two weeks later): I sent Todae an e-mail, asking what was the situation with this order. I got no response.

29/5/12: I re-sent that e-mail from another account in case the first one had not got through to them. There was no response to this one either.

31/5/12: I contacted my bank about how I might get a refund, since Todae was ignoring all my e-mails. Then I sent Todae a message from their own website, indicating that I was *still* waiting for a reply to my much earlier e-mails. I warned them that after 30 days I'd ask my bank to pursue a reversal of the credit card transaction. I instantly got an automatic e-mail claiming that they would reply within one business day. Of course that did not happen.

6/6/12: My friend who I'd ordered the radio for phoned Todae. They claimed they were too busy to talk to him and they'd get back to him. As usual, Todae did not get back to him.

13/6/12: I contacted my bank and opened a dispute over the transaction. They sent me paperwork to fill out and return, which I did. All this wasted a large amount of my time.

12/7/12 (A month later): Out of the blue, I got an e-mail from Todae's courier company saying that a package was on its way.

13/7/12: My friend received a “Scorpion” radio worth slightly more than the one I ordered. I immediately notified my bank by letter that the order had been completed and that Todae had wasted far more than $71.90 worth of theirs and my time and money.

26/7/12: I wasted even more time checking by phone with my bank that their records showed that this dispute had been resolved.

23/7/12: Todae Solar had the audacity to spam me, trying to flog my friend a Todae solar power system. I used the unsubscribe option.

If you've read through all that, you can see that Todae Pty Ltd is completely incompetent and uninterested in their customers or reputation. They're only too happy to take your money and then totally ignore you. If you're lucky, you might get something from them *months* after you ordered it (maybe only because you asked your bank to cancel their credit card transaction). Or you might have an even worse experience like so many others have done reviews about on the internet. Avoid Todae Pty Ltd like the plague.
