I've been very impressed with Sulex Electrics on the two occasions I've used their services for my Richmond properties. Great communication, honest upfront pricing and a professional job. Highly recommended!

Only use this company if you have time to inspect their work after every clean and fix things up yourself before your Airbnb guests arrive ...or unless you really want your guests to see pubic hair and urine in the bathroom, used food items left in the fridge and rubbish in the bedrooms. I was frequently disappointed when I inspected the quality of the cleaning, and I sent photos of the things I was unhappy with to the manager. She would apologise each time, but the quality didn't improve. The manager expressed concern that the cleans were taking longer than the 6 hours she had quoted for and wanted to charge me extra, even though it should never have taken that long in the first place. The reason it took so long was that the cleaners worked inefficiently plus they brought an old, poor quality vacuum held together with duct tape! After my most recent feedback to the manager, instead of apologising, she simply told me they would no longer be servicing y property and cancelled all my future bookings (one was only 3 days away). I couldn't believe the unprofessionalism! I've compiled some of the photos from my cleaning inspections into a video on YouTube, so you can judge for yourself if you think my standards are too high or unreasonable. Just search for 'Uber Clean House: 16 reasons not to use them for your Airbnb'. The video also includes evidence of the time their cleaners accidentally stole from us. Anyway, I'm so glad UberCleanHouse made me change companies because my new cleaners are simply amazing! Cheaper price, more efficient and much higher quality!

This review is for Oria M Holistic Centre, Northcote VIC

I went to Oria M for IPL and was amazed by the results. My therapist was very professional and kind. I received a reminder SMS 24 hours before each appointment which was very handy. Oria M kept exceeding my expectations every time I went back. I'd definitely recommend them!

Our first cleaner stayed longer than we asked her to and then demanded extra payment. The manager apologised for this and arranged another cleaner for us. The next cleaner was so slow that after 1.5 hours, she'd only managed to clean the bathroom in our tiny 2BR terrace house (and I could've done a better job myself in 20 minutes). Mind you, we still needed to pay her for her full shift! The manager apologised again (but offered no refund) and sent a third cleaner who proceeded to inform me that she could not use our mop, cloths or cleaning products and needed us to buy her preferred cleaning products (which she had brought along in advance to sell to us!). Pretty ridiculous... Three strikes and you're out, Clean and Personal. We're finding another agency.

I'm a fairly indecisive person and Matt was so patient in listening to my ideas and taking the time to come up with the perfect design. I was really impressed with his attention to detail. He even helped us match the doors and door handles to the period features of our home. We were really surprised to receive this kind of outstanding service at such an affordable price. We couldn't be happier with the finished product, and would certainly recommend Encore Wardrobes to anyone looking for quality wardrobes without breaking the bank!

This review is for Tatra Receptions, Mount Dandenong VIC

verified email - 09 Jun 2014

Tatra Receptions exceeded every one of our expectations. In comparison to the other venues we inspected, Tatra appealed to us because of their all-inclusive package (other places had lots of hidden extras like cake bagging, decorations etc). Being able to offer accommodation for our guests was super handy. There are awesome showers in the rooms, and a spa bath in the honeymoon suite, which is complementary for the bride and groom.

The Tatra ballroom gave us the large dance floor we were wanting, and the layout and open fireplace made the room feel intimate even with 150+ guests. The fresh flowers, chandeliers, candelabras and garden view from the large windows gave the room a beautiful and romantic ambience.

It was important for us to not keep our guests waiting too long between the ceremony and reception, but also for us to have ample photo time. Other venues tried to impose time limits on us for our photos, but Tatra allowed us to call the shots here. And their beautiful gardens meant that we were able to have all of our photos taken on-site and therefore didn't require a wedding car!

We made our own bonbonieres which required quite a bit of setup work, so we offered to send a few helpers to assist with arranging them. But much to our surprise, Tatra were more than happy to do this for us (which must have taken a good 3 hours!) and made it seem like nothing was too much trouble.

Tatra also provided the MC for our wedding, who was so incredibly professional and friendly. She went to great efforts to ensure she pronounced all names correctly (some were quite tricky!) Throughout the day, she made us feel so comfortable. She was flexible with the schedule when we had some late guests, and adapted things seamlessly.

Our guests kept commenting on how incredible the food was - no one left hungry! We were originally wanting a desert buffet, but changed our mind because asking our guests to line up for food did not seem to fit with the classy atmosphere at Tatra. So we went with the chocolate trio and citrus trio instead, which were both divine! Having a seated dessert also allowed us to mingle with our guests during dessert, which ended up being one of the few opportunities we had to do this.

We couldn't be happier with our choice to have our wedding at Tatra, because honestly we can't fault them in any way. They did everything they could to make our wedding day perfect, with extremely high standards, and we could not recommend them highly enough.

Really professional service at a very competitive price! Asher installed our new safety switch and two new power points (one outdoor) for us. We couldn't have asked for a better experience with a sparky. Asher was timely, a great communicator and very efficient. He even went out of his way to 'go the extra mile' and find a piece of plasterboard to cover up the hole in the wall that was created when replacing our ancient fuse box with a new one to hold the new safety switch. Won't be using anyone else in future, if I can help it. But I imagine he'll be very busy with the level of service he provides!!

This review is for Miyabi Japanese Massage Salon, Abbotsford VIC

verified email - 28 Aug 2012

As I walked in to Miyabi, another girl was walking out and said to her therapist, "That was the best massage I've ever had!" and I thought, "Whoa! That's setting the bar high for mine to come." But the massage I received certainly lived up to the high expectations set. My therapist asked beforehand which areas needed attention, checked in regularly as to whether the pressure was right, and was extremely skilled in her technique. Hot, damp towels (oshibori) on the body during and after the massage were a lovely touch. I went in there with a bad headache and an achy neck and left completely pain and stress free. There's a bit of background noise from the shopping centre, but they have lovely relaxing music playing which was enough to help drown it out. Absolutely amazing - and sure enough 'the best massage I've ever had!' I'd recommend Miyabi to anyone!

This review is for Intuitive Wellness, Kiama NSW

I read some of the testimonials on the Intuitive Wellness website and thought I would give an online counseling session a try with Shirley Williams (via Skype). Whilst it was a little daunting at first speaking to her through my computer, I soon realised that it was well worth it.

I've been to other life coaches who gave me ‘surface strategies', whereas Shirley got straight to the root of the issues and helped me to address the underlying fears that were causing them. Shirley helped me to identify what was preventing me from realising my true goals. I've since resigned from the job I was unhappy in and started my own business which has led me to a much more fulfilling career. I'd recommend Shirley to anyone.

This review is for The Gallery - Artists Of Hair Design, Essendon VIC

verified email - 17 Feb 2012

I purchased a Cudo voucher for a hair cut and colour at The Gallery. I called them in the morning to confirm my appointment and found that their number was disconnected. Thanks to the previous WOMO review, I found out their new address: 81 Fletcher st, Essendon. When I arrived at their new premises, I found that they are no longer operating their business there. The shop is now leased by a beauty salon called 'Make-up Images'. The beautician there informed me that The Gallery had 'done a runner' two weeks ago and she had taken over their lease. She gave me the name of the landlord, whom I called. The landlord informed me that The Gallery had a lease at 81 Fletcher st, Essendon, from the start of January and then up and left two weeks ago, with rent owing. The landlord also gave me the name and number of the owner of The Gallery. However, she is not answering her mobile phone, for obvious reasons.

So, I went to Cudo's website and requested a reimbursement for the cost of the voucher. If you need to do the same, go to: http://cudo.com.au/help, then select 'Contact Cudo' from the drop down menu, fill in your e-mail address and your Cudo voucher number.

Cudo got back to me saying that they had put credit onto my Cudo account with the value of the voucher. I replied and requested a refund to my credit card instead of the Cudo credit and they obliged.

Apologies that I couldn't really rate this business properly, as even the lowest star rating said: "I can't believe they are still in business"... but actually they aren't, so there was no other appropriate rating.
