Fabulous meat, wonderful quality and always the best advice. That's what you pay through the nose here for. If you have the cash it's well worth it - I've cooked restaurant quality meals for hubby & I with meat from here. But if you're feeding a family of 6... well there's always Coles next door.

I shop here A LOT! Although I'd love to support the smaller bookshops, Borders Chaddie is 3 levels and always seems to have everything I'm after. And if they don't have it - they order it for me, from overseas if necessary. The staff are hard to find (after a boozy lunch I've answered the endlessly ringing phone to talk to a staff member from another store who didn't believe I was a customer and only answered because the incessant ringing was soooo annoying) but when you find them they bend over backwards - which is probably what makes them so elusive. They also have the best discount vouchers - so join their mailing list next time you're in there.

The staff try hard but the food is barely average. In fact, the last time I was there I was violently ill afterwards, but hubby was fine so maybe it was just me. The concrete floor means the place echoes with everyone's voices so it's a noisy space.

Delicious sushi and always fresh. A large variety of handrolls (they do a roaring takeaway) and also take home pack. I ordered a catering pack and, while it was far too large for my needs, every piece was delicious.

Fantastic pizza and open late for deliveries. Especially love the cheese and herb foccacia but they have an extensive menu including a number of 'out of the ordinary' pizzas - think nacho pizza, for example.

Delicious Thai food, with a consistent level of quality. We live around the corner and I haven't had a bad meal yet. Love the red curry with prawns and their satay sauce is to die for, especially served warm with prawn crackers.
