I have been to many functions at The Pumphouse Hotel and the quality and service has never failed me. The function room (The Conservatory) is an amazing space which has been renovated with contempory furnishings. I have been to engagement parties, birthday parties, weddings, christenings...you name it and it accommodated each function well. The food is of high quality and plenty of it. There is a front bar which appears to be visited by many of the locals in the area. I say this because the people behind the bar and those on the other side are on a first name basis. Anyway, if you're considering a meal after work, watch the footy on the TV or if you're planning a function, I suggest giving this place consideration.

If you are looking for a family atmosphere with good home cooked Italian food, this is the place you must go. My husband and I have been going to The Railway Hotel for years now and have never once been disappointed. It's a terrific pub with lots of the old Italian men sitting around, eating and enjoying a glass of wine, followed by a friendly game of cards. There are very few of these kind of places left so I suggest you get down there before you miss out. As for the food, you can't go wrong. There is a blackboard with a wide selection ranging from traditional Italian style soups and pastas and of course if you're into offal you can get that too. There is a huge outdoor area and sitting under the grape vines on a warm summer's night is terrific. If you go say hi to Peter and Miriam for me.

This review is for Three Palms Restaurant, Sorrento VIC

We went to Three Palms in January 2008 with 20 of our friends and had a wonderful dining experience. We ate inside the restaurant which is a lovely setting. The food and wine menu was excellent and catered to everyone. The seafood platter was delicious and great value for money. I had the mussels which are done in a Thai spiced tomator base which is very tasty. AFter our dinner we went outside to the courtyard where there's a sunken bar. This was fun and catered for all ages. Anyway, my husband and I enjoyed it so much that we drove from Melbourne last Friday to have dinner at Three Palms and enjoyed our experience as much as the first time, if not more! I suggest you do yourself a favour and give this place a go.
