Not to be missed are their pork rolls, I dare say they're one of the best in Footscray. Fresh and delicious, but make sure you ask for a sprinkle of fresh chilli in it (unless you absolutely cannot eat spicy) because that makes all the difference!
I have one every time I go grocery shopping in Footscray.

Food is only decent because of the price.
I would recommend getting the sashimi only because the sushi rice is poorly done. Do not get the Agedashi tofu, because it is not the silken one as it is meant to be, it wasn't even the typical tofu you get from the asian grocery stores! Somewhat harder and drier...not tasty at all. The beef salad was probably the best dish of the night.

Service was decent given the rush but the ambience was as someone correctly described it, a packed school canteen, I was constantly yelling on top of everyone else.
Overall, I wouldn't say it's worth it for me to drive all to eat there again.

I used to frequent this place a few years ago when I was a poor student and they were still located in Corrs Lane. Service has always been minimal but the very cheap and delicious dumplings and soup noodles made up for it. After I graduated though I haven't been back.
A couple of weeks ago my friends mentioned to me that they have moved to Tattersalls Lane and I thought why not go back to reminisce my good old student times.
Service was efficient, because we did it all ourselves! But the food came out quickly.

Food was a slight disappointment. Our plate of fried dumplings were extremely oily, the soup noodles were carelessly thrown together, and the fried rice was too soggy. The taste was overall decent, but definitely not up to what they used to be.
When we went to pay, I whipped out $20 ready to pay for my share (that's what the average meal costs for me nowadays), but was pleasantly surprised that it was only around $9 per head.
Good to see at least some things don't change.

If I go somewhere the first time and it's unsatisfactory, I usually will go back again to give them another opportunity, because I believe it's human nature to have the occasional 'bad day'. However, if the second time is equally as unsatisfactory, it is a place that I will not step into again.
Unfortunately, Brunetti is one of these places.

When I went there the first time, I was impressed at the range of cakes/pastries they have on offer, very pretty too.
Even though the queue was long I was still extremely excited, thinking: "If they're this busy, the food here must be fantastic"
We ordered a lemon tart, black forest, and for my fat-conscious friend, a low-fat nutella cheesecake.
As we found some seating (finally), I couldn't wait to eat, and picked up a bit of the cheesecake and put it in my mouth.
I felt thoroughly disappointed.
It was probably one of the worst cheesecakes I've ever tasted. The cheese cake extremely bland, and with texture like rubber. I know people say it's low-fat and so "What do you expect?" but I've made low-fat cheesecakes in the past and it's 100% creamier and tastier than what I paid $6 for at Brunetti's. The lemon tart was also a disappointment; the 'shortcrust' was so hard that I had to use my fork as a hammer to break it, and the lemon custard itself was way too sweet and not enough tartness. The only (slight) redeeming factor of the meal was the black forest, which was decent, but even still it wasn't worth the high price I paid for it. I left feeling extremely disappointed.

The second opportunity I gave Brunetti was a few weeks after. We ordered a tiramisu and fruit tart. Unfortunately, this experience was not any better.
Again the 'shortcrust' was hard, and the tiramisu had some 'stringy' bits in it that was so revolting I stopped after one spoonful.

For me, I am afraid there's no more credits left for Brunetti.

Went there for the first time after raving reviews on WOMOW. Ordered the chili cheesy fries and buffalo chicken ribs along with a chili dog.
The chicken ribs came out nice and fresh and the ranch dressing was great.
The chili dog was decent, but was disappointed by the chili cheesy fries given the great reviews on here, because there wasn't much cheese on it, and too much beans in the con carne.
All in all though it was a nice lunch out with friendly service, I will return again.
