Both Bertoldo's shops are incredible, gastronomically delightful places to visit for lunch or just a snack. Authentic Italian pastries, sandwiches, coffees, gelato, pastas and fried foods make for a heady aroma! Lunchtime is extremely busy in both shops but well worth the wait!

This shop is in a stunning old building next to the Rest Area in Boorowa's main street. There is a craft shop, which sells superb, locally made items and a tearoom which does tea/coffee etc along with sandwiches and prize winning scones in the Devonshire Teas. You can also view the old Court Room, which still has original furniture. Old fashioned service in an intimate atmosphere make this a peaceful "must stop" place on your travels.

Standing in a long queue, with slow service is not my idea of fun when travelling! The coffee was as expected, the cake was lovely, but the meat pie could have definitely been better! It was a bit on the "dry side". They have a reasonable selection of fresh breads and buns for a small town. Outside seating is available as is in the spare room. There are also toilets available.

For a small town, the Chinese Restaurant is a hidden gem. We go there regularly for our "fix" of their great food. The staff are very efficient and clean. People are known to travel from Yass to Boorowa for the large and tempting delights! They are open in the evenings and also do take aways. The surroundings are in keeping with the area. Fantastic!

Yass Soldiers Club is a lovely place to go to as far as clubs go. The staff are friendly, neat and tidy, and quick to help if you need. Their meals are varied, tasty and large and are now served in a reasonable amount of time. Lunch and tea are available. They support local businesses and community events and do not tolerate bad behaviours or language. They do usual club things, eg poker machines, bingo, cards, racing etc. Definitely worth a visit if you're travelling through. Turn at the lights!

This is a good shop, but sometimes the service is very slow. Particularly in the furniture section. The electronics are up to date and you can usually find things on special, which makes it more interesting. Other items, however, can be a bit on the expensive side. Still. It's all choice.

Love the intimate feeling and different tastes in the drinks they have for sale here. The shop is rustic but the service and foods are excellent. CB is perfect for relaxing in with friends, particularly after a hard time shopping in the nursery next door!

How many ways can you say that Knight's Meats is a brilliant butchers? They have so much choice in all types of meats and cuts. I ALWAYS make the effort to go there when in Wagga to buy the chicken/beef/lamb pastries and specialties and crumbed chops and and and... They have a fantastic bulk meats section as well as smallgoods. My idea of heaven in a shop!

I just love Castle Hampers! I've had my Christmas Goodies bought via them for the last 5 years. You name it, foodwise, they seem to have it. You can choose from a great many hampers - toys, food, frozens, alcohol, presents.... Since I first used Castle Hampers, their selection has increased exponentially! You pay a bit a week/fortnight until the amount is paid for. They then have a delivery service to make sure you get your goodies in plenty of time for Christmas.

Officeworks.com.au is fantastic! Their ordering facility is easy to use. Their products are wide and varied - office stationary, school supplies, data storage, computer inks etc. I've bought a few of them already!
Mail is prompt and arrives, generally within 2 - 3 days. Once again, extremely handy for those of us who love the shop but because of distance, can't get there!
