Awesome food. The noodles are all homemade and I'm quickly becoming totally hooked - normal old noodles just don't do the trick anymore. Fresh and tasty Northern Chinese food in a friendly family restaurant environment. Very popular with the Chinese locals - I trust them!

Really Chinese AND Vietnamese, although for some reason they only say Chinese in the title. LOVE the noodle soup here - I can't go past the Pho (Vietnamese beef noodle soup) but apparently the chicken noodle soup is amazing too. Very generous (read: huge!) portions and deliciously tasty. Don't be fooled by the faded/tacky exterior, the soup here is fantastic (there are several other options on offer too, eg. noodle and rice dishes).

Loved this one - great food (big variety of dishes/styles), good prices AND really well decorated - not over the top or anything, but noticeably more attractive than most Chinese restaurants in the area. Lots of space and lots of good food. Eggplant and Peking duck recommended.

Definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants in Ashfield - the food's a couple of dollars more here, but the seemingly constant crowd of locals appears to justify it!

Love it. Especially the handmade noodles, which are so amazingly good - you'll never go back to regular old noodles after trying these! This place seems to have changed its name but I think it's still the same? Try it, it's fab.

I've only been here a couple of times so haven't tried much of their extensive menu but it looks good! Fresh seafood available and popular (pick from the tanks in the windows!) but plenty of other options if that's not your thing (it isn't mine). The $7-7.50 takeaway specials are great. Also, they're now licensed and have a decently stocked bar.

GREAT Thai food at slightly cheaper than normal prices (compared to your average Thai takeout) but not unreasonable and the price difference definitely shows. And there's a good range of prices so you'd find something affordable if that's what you're after. Eat-in (it's lovely), takeaway and delivery all available (and tested by me - all good). Yum!

The guy who runs this gives great quality haircuts, colours, styling etc. Not a bargain but definitely well done every time. He cares about what he's doing (and he's great for a chat!)

Just Cuts provide exactly what I'm looking for in a haircut - a quick, cheap, decent quality haircut by well trained staff. If it's just a cut you're after, they're great.

A fantastic live music venue. The Basement sees a large range of different artists play and has a perfect atmosphere for its live gigs. A good place for meeting up with friends for a great night out!
