My first time here wasn't so inspiring but I recently returned to a revamped menu and was thoroughly impressed! The food is traditional Xi'an style Chinese, very tasty and delicious, with some fab prices especially on the 'snacks' (small meals) section of the menu. A new favourite!

This review is for Thai Times & Nine, Newtown NSW

I'm not a huge fan of the Thai in Newtown - perhaps it's just the cheap lunch specials but they seem to be more oily and stodgy than I'd like and don't have that searing taste and freshness that great Thai has. So definitely a good place to go for a cheap big feed and perhaps a little better than some of the others on the strip but not a standout.

Definitely one of the better Thai restaurants around the inner west - yes, the lunch special is worth the extra dollar or two than the oily places in Newtown! Delicious tasty food, friendly staff coping with a roaring trade and masses of takeaway/delivery orders.

Only had a quick meal here but was impressed by the lovely staff and the fresh food. Would've liked a bit more flavour - it didn't have that tasty zing that I love about Korean food but perhaps I ordered the wrong thing. Would happily try again.

This was a really nice place to go for a meal with a big group of friends - they cater well to large groups and the food is good. Lots of Chinese families were around when we went - I think they'd come from a graduation ceremony or something!

This review is for Confucius Palace Chinese Restaurant, Ashfield NSW

Gorgeous interiors and lovely staff make the great food here seem like an added bonus! They do a great fried shredded tofu and pork dish with pancakes to wrap it up in to eat - we hadn't seen this anywhere else so it's a highlight of Confucius Palace for us. The food isn't the most amazing or cheapest I've ever had but it's very good and makes this restaurant a great little find, hidden away above the street.

This review is for Classic Alterations, Ashfield NSW

The woman who works here is very experienced and talented at altering clothing. She's never failed to do the sometimes tricky and strange alterations my friends and I have asked for over the years and always for a very reasonable price and in just a matter of days.

This review is for Expert Dry Cleaners, Ashfield NSW

Fast, affordable, reliable dry cleaning service. They do a roaring trade with the locals and are used regularly by many customers. I've never had any issues and always am happy with the service provided. They have special deals from time to time (eg. on sets of 5 business shirts) that are well worth taking advantage of.

A little cafe that's been going for ages. Great place to stop for a coffee, smoothie etc. They also do really good fresh juices in a variety of sizes, and serve the very delicious Pure Gelato. Apparently casual workers don't stay there very long but the regular staff have been there for years.

This review is for Dan's Chinese, Ashfield NSW

Great, cheap Chinese takeaway in the food court of the mall. Dan's Chinese has been there for ages and always has something yum to eat. The end-of-the-day specials are fabulous and the Fried Rice is so addictive. Recommended.
