Two years ago my knee specialist gave me a list of things not to do. I disregarded everything he said, and two years later, my situation hadn't changed. A few weeks ago I decided it was time for a change! Since my handful of sessions with Jon at Myofit, WOW! A dramatic difference. I won't say I'm pain-free, but I'm no longer in agony. Along with massage, Jon gave me several very helpful stretching exercises, with instructions to use ice and heat as often as possible. He commented at today's session that I wasn't complaining about pain nearly as much as a week ago. I now have several appointments lined up, and look forward to being able to run again!

Bring your appetite! We started with a medley of dips (smoked eggplant, tzaziki, and a beautiful shredded potato dip) and flat bread (knocks pita out of the water!), and could have happily left the table satisfied. Our entres arrived (lamb kebab and eye fillet kebab, both with a PILE of saffron rice and grilled tomato), and although yummy-scrummy, we couldn't get through it all :( You can also dine alfresco! They're open for lunch on weekends only, and dinner throughout the week.

Can you say Beer Battered Barra three times fast?! This restaurant/cafe/bar/function room is where you want to eat, drink, and be merry in Collingwood. The interior is comfy and rustic (I love the Chesterfields!), and the food is delectable. Portions are goodly, so bring your appetite! We've been there for brekky (Eggs Florentine and Big Breakfast) and lunch (Chicken & Artichoke risotto and Beer Battered Barra), and split a Ploughman's Lunch for nibbles with friends. And have taken home a slice of the baked blueberry cheesecake (twice!) for dessert! You will not be disappointed!

OMG! How do you say delicioius? This little gem used to be the best kept secret until now! (Some of you may remember it as the former Thai Empire.) Hubby and I shared the mixed entree (2 each spring rolls, fish cakes, and curry puffs with sweet chili sauce) and chicken fried rice. He had the Red Curry Duck, and I had the Green Curry Prawns; both with medium heat. I like most Asian beers, and I loved Chang, medal winning Thai beer. This restaurant isn't much to look at from the street (or footpath, for that matter!), but once you get inside you'll be surprised to see how cosy (but not cluttered) and well-appointed it is. And yes, they have a take-away menu! And no MSG!

YUMMY! Bring your appetite with you! The Baked Eggs are scrummy; the homemade pasta is al dente; and the Calamari is to die for. Very good coffee, too! The waitstaff are friendly and attentive without being annoying. Possibly the only detraction is the owner. She can be abrasive and harsh to her waitstaff, and customers as well. I don't let her bother me and will keep going back for more! Nice vibe, cozy, and a cute little courtyard in the back.
