I like this Safeway. It's a little smaller than most, but the quality and organisation is good.
Fruit and Vege are fresh, well presented and displayed nicely.
Deli good are fresh and good.
Service is usually fine.

Great range of books, and international mags. Service is friendly, and very helpful too. These poeple know their books!

These are the best bagels I've found out of New York. They're fresh, and delish!
Glicks have a really good range, eg onion, full grain, soft white etc, along with super yummy sweets treat, like iced jam donuts etc.
Pretty good value too!

Gorgeous little cafe on High St Northcote. Makes great coffes and juices, and really good filled pide sandwiches around lunch imes. I haven't had breakfast there yet, but it's always busy busy of a morning, which I guess indicates that their breakfasts are good!
