This review is for HBA Health Insurance, Chadstone VIC

Visited HBA in Chadstone to compare rates with my existing health insurance provider. The service received was excellent, with the consulant offering an exceptional deal. Even better was their offer that covers children for 100% of their normal dental bills with no out of pocket whatsoever! Although haven;t claimed yet, the deal was very competitive, with one months free cover, and wiaving of waiting periods! Overall, very happy!

This review is for Nando's, Bentleigh VIC

Great tasting chicken, cooked Porteguese style, marinated for many hours and flame grilled to order. While I normally find Nandos stores quite good, I find the service in this store to be fairly lousy, and rarely service with a smile. This store also suffers from being quite small, so the available seating is quite limited.

Their toilets are also out the back, with an entrance off the car park, so you might like to take care after dark.

Not quite fast food, as your meal selections in store are served on a plate with cutlery, and being grilled, would be slightly better for you than soem of the other fried options.

Their chips are great - and you their range of sauces in store are quite good...

This review is for Trampoline Gelato, Melbourne VIC

Trampoline are an up and coming ice cream company, with cute promotional activity and great tasting ice cream. Staff are generally friendly, and happy to give a free taste of a flavour or two. They make their ice creams fresh daily, and produce the regular safe flavours, along with a few new and unusual.

Their ice creams are rich and flavoursome.... and my kids and I equally love them! They come in a range of sizes, and are not the cheapest, but they are yummy! (Use your voucher from the Entertainment book to get 2 for 1!)

If you join their mates club online, you can get a free Midi cup, and notification of competitions and offers. (http://www.trampolinehq.com.au/JoinUs/Mates.aspx)

This review is for Presidential Card, South Melbourne VIC

After joining the Tatts Pokies R&R club for free, they give you a free Presidents Card membership too, so the value is excellent! You can use your card for discounts all over Australia at restaurants, cinemas and tourist attractions. Discounts vary between establishments, and we have never had any problem using our card - the retailers happy to acceot it.

Simply show your card and save, so it couldn't be easier than that. Turning up at Underwaterworld in Mooloolaba in QLD, we saw the familiar President Card logo on the window - showed our card and saved 20% of the admission card.

Easy to use, and valuable savings.

This review is for Entertainment Books, Hawthorn VIC

We have been buying the Entertainment Book for about 10 years, and it is always exceptional value.

The book costs around $65, and comes out each April, and is valid until June the following year. The book is sold by schools, charities, scout groups and the like, and provides a great means of fundraising for those groups.

Within each book are around $10,000 worth of discount vouchers and offers, which enable you to eat out cheaply at many restaurant across Melbourne, and they provide 2 for 1 meals, or 20% off the toal bill. There are also many vouchers for entertainment venues like Soverign Hill, and Puffing Billy, along with vouchers for KFC

This review is for Borders, Chadstone VIC

While I initially promised myself that I would never shop at Borders, because it was foreign owned, and I like to support the big guys, I just can't get enough of this store. It is the best bookstore around, with the most incredible magazine selection.

They are happy for you to test drive a book or magazine or CD, and even provide comfortable seating throughout the store so that you can relax and read a bit!

As for range, they seem to have books that aren't available anywhere else, and have stopped me having to purchase online through Amazon. Great just to browse, or find a special gift, or just windowshop.... or to pick up the latest American magazine airlifted to Australia.

Join their online club, and they will send you a different discount voucher each week which can be very valuable... they also have a few brand new books on sale each week at the front door which are well below RRP (The 2008 Guiness Book Or Records was recently offered at less than 1/2 price)

This review is for St. George Bank, Bentleigh VIC

verified email - 03 Feb 2008

Went into St George Bentleigh to discuss opening a new credit card account. The teller asked a number of quesitons to ascertain my needs, before offering to solve my entire financial needs at the one time. They were very helpful, explained how the bank could help me, explained how to minimise fees, and explained a few promotional offerings they had currently to further save me money. While I know it was a sales pitch, they handled it well, and should how they could advantage me which was appreciated.

The teller assisted me with opening my accounts, and now when I revisit, always greet me warmly, and make me feel welcome.

Queues are generally short, and I am yet to experience any negative issues with my dealings with this bank - unlike my previous bank!

This review is for Limor's International, Caulfield North VIC

We have been going to Limors for years - yes the service is not too hot, and you often feel like you are packed in like sardines, but the food is what makes this place. If you leave here hungry, then you must have a major appetitie, because the meals are huge, and very filling.

Their schnitzels are divine, and the BBQ sauce is awesome! They offer a wide range of meals and salads, and its great to order a few selections between your group, and share around.

Take aways are great, especially if you want to avoid the busy store - the foid is just as good at home!

We purchased our new Territory from this dealership recently - we found the sales process quite relaxed and informative, with the dealer not pushy, and fairly easy going. The dealer took us out for a test drive, and showed us features that were no longer available in the latest model, but never told us that we would not be gettign these features in our car. Car was delivered on time, but was not overly clean on delivery - which was disappointing.
