La Bella are the 2nd Pizza shop in this shopping strip and I'd describe them as a typical suburban pizza store.
Pizza's are good value but certainly not fantastic.
If you live nearby then I'd suggest this place out of convenience but there are certainly better places out there if you are prepared to make the effort.
Approximate cost: $9
I'd describe Mini dragon as a typical suburban Chinese restaurant that caters for western tastes.
Decent quality and portions and convenient if you live nearby.
If you are after a bit more variety, value and taste you may want to consider going to Kingsway in Glen Waverley.
I'd rate Paloma as poor/average.
This used to be a regular pizza place for me years ago but quality has gone down which I suspect is due to the competition a couple doors up at Labella.
The meat toppings these days are cheaper processed meats compared to what they used to have.
Hygiene with food handling would have to be questionable based on what I've seen.
Maybe it's a coincidence but the last time I ate a pizza from here (as an alternative to La Bella) I was sick the next day.
Approximate cost: $10
I've been a regular customer for over 20 years and have been quite happy with the quality of the pizza's during this time.
Depending on who's cooking on the day occasionally I've found a couple of pizza's below their normal standard but whenever John is there everything is great.
My favourite pizza is the Australiana.
If it wasn't for the fact that I now live a couple of suburbs away I'd visit more regularly.
Very good tasting pizzas and great value with a lot of the large pizza's under $10.
Unlike a lot of the cheaper pizza places the base and toppings are pretty good.
Had the guys install an Antenna to my new home that was already cabled for 3 points by the builder.
They provided a quote on the phone which was reasonable and were able to come out the next day and get it done with minimal fuss.
I'd be happy to recommend them.
Approximate cost: $275
I have tried Breakfast at this McDonalds at least 5 times in the last few years given they are close to where I work and on each occasion I was hoping for better quality food but on every occasion I have been disappointed.
I have experienced egg shells, cold, dry and stale buns and warm patties in the sausage and egg McMuffins. I would strongly recommend not dining there (for breakfast at least).
I enjoy fast food but the quality is terrible and it really worries me about the hygiene of the kitchen when they can release such poor quality food.
I am literally a 5 minute walk from the store but have chosen to jump in my car and drive to the next nearest McDonalds to get some properly cooked food at the Wellington road McDonalds...I suggest you do the same.
Approximate cost: $6
How hard is it to hire customer facing staff that can actually take orders accurately? Probably not that easy at the wages being paid.
KFC aren't cheap in terms of prices so you expect decent quality food and at least accurate order taking and fulfillment. Unfortunately they don't get it right at Knox. The burger buns were not fresh, large chips are filled to 3/4 and with dry, overcooked chips.
I guess the service and quality will vary based on the time of the day so hopefully you find that time and day!
Approximate cost: $10
Simple menus and adequate food quality (definitely not outstanding and definitely not worth $12.50 for a regular main meal.
Twice I have been there now and twice served by someone best described as disinterested at best. The service could not be described as friendly and if I had another choice I would definitely be going there instead.
Approximate cost: $12.50
Have a dog that was adopted from RSPCA and have been very happy with his nature despite him developing skin allergies and diabetes which isn't the fault of RSPCA. Have tried another commercial vet but am happy with RSPCA prices and convenience with times and days they are open.
The quality of the service depends on who the vet is that serves you as some are better (more knowledgeable) than others. If you find a vet you like make sure you get their name and ask for them every time. I use Dr. Voice and after trialling many, I'd definitely recommend him.
