My main quibble with this place is that it's clearly not set up for English speakers. For example, on the menu out the front, the first thing on the 'vegetarian' menu contained chicken!! >:( The actual menu only contained very rough English translations of the dishes. I ordered a string bean dish, but when I placed my order, the waiter told me it contained pork! I said, 'no, I'm vegetarian'; there was absolutely no indication that pork had been part of the dish. Imo that's a VITAL piece of information to include in a translation!!! So anyway, I was expecting a mixed veggie/bean kind of dish, but was a little startled when I was literally served just a plateful of beans. Don't get me wrong; they were very tasty, but if I'd known about a) the fact that it was originally meat-based and b) the lack of variety, I would have ordered something different! Not keen to return as the translations are so poor that it's unclear to me what I'm even ordering. Also more than 23 bucks for a plate of beans is a major rip-off, if you ask me.

It's such a refreshing feeling to walk into this shop, knowing that everything is vegan. They have everything you could possibly want/need!! There are health foods, not-so-health foods and toiletries. It's definitely on the steep side, but that's to be expected with such products. I wish I lived locally to here!! Special mention to their Vegan Made Delights...especially the peanut butter brittle. It is FAB! <3

I had heard great things about this place, and it far exceeded my expectations!! As a vegan, it was so refreshing to sit down in a restaurant and actually be able to 'um' and 'ahh' over my options (as opposed to the usual scenario, which is 'okay, there's the two things on the menu I can eat. Decision made'). The sesame tofu special was perfect, and the green juice sublime!!! My only regret was that I didn't have any room for dessert (which, YES! I can actually have dessert at this place, too!!!). The service was very friendly and quite fast, considering how busy it was. Will definitely be back...even if just for the desserts! Best restaurant ever.

EACH is great; almost everything about it is free, too! Sometimes the groups they run are a little unorganised, but it's hard to complain when you're not paying anything for it. The staff are very supportive. Community health groups like these are truly what we need more of.

I only use the pool section, but it's a pretty standard fare: there's a lap pool and a warm pool. It's great value, though, and I love that it's so local. It's never too busy, making it easy for me to swim my laps in peace.

I had my 22nd birthday here, and I will never forget how amazing that day was! The bowling was fun and had a great atmosphere, and the karaoke room was the best fun I'd had in ages!! The pricing was very reasonable (compared to the QV venue my sister had gone to, which had been significantly more expensive) and the staff were very friendly.
Approximate cost: $80
Apart from the (admittedly inevitable) overpricing, there's nothing to complain about; this cinema ticks all the boxes. However, I would never place it in the same league as Knox Village Cinemas, which is just downright fancy.

Almost every time I've been here, I've been disappointed. Upon two incidences when I ordered a cappuccino from here, the milk was thoroughly burnt. My taste buds were also burnt for the next two days. On a third occasion, I specifically asked for the milk to be a little cooler than normal, and the girl who served me echoed my order back to me in a condescending tone. To be fair, this was a few years ago, but my recent venture there was not happy, either. I asked for a green tea 'to have here', and I received it in a cup that had obviously not been washed properly (like, there were still sediments in the bottom from its previous use! Eww!). Considering that my EVERY SINGLE EXPERIENCE of this place has been negative, it has definitely run out of chances with me.

Disappointed to learn that their hot chocolates aren't vegan. :( Seeing as I've given up coffee, there's literally nothing I can buy from here anymore (unless I want to try a soy decaf or something). I remember, when I used to come here a lot, I was often served by this girl who had a serious attitude problem, but she seems to have since quit and the staff now are quite lovely. The coffee's aggressively average, though, and quite overpriced (though, to be fair, it IS coffee), and I would prefer to go to a cafe.
Approximate cost: $4.50
My local supermarket, I come here often. For a small supermarket, it's surprisingly well stocked (including lots of fancy health foods), though the prices are a little unreasonable. You could get the same things for cheaper at the Coles on Kent Avenue, though I am aware that the prices are intentionally jacked up to suit the high-income lifestyle of Croydon Hills residents. I suck it up and roll with it.
