This place is really good or very ordinary depedning what you are after. It calls itself a resort but is really more of an unserviced appartment.
The good: The rooms are very large, and ours had lounge, dinning, kitchen, two bathrooms and two bedrooms. The location is only about 6k from Seaworld. There is secure parking and the grounds are very secured and well maintained. THere is a pool and spa (warm), as well as a dry Sauna. The deal we got was alos only $130 per night.
The bad: It is quite rundown with more of a feelign of staying at a mates apparetment than a resort. There is zero service as the desk is mostly unmanned (keys from a safe out front and dropped back into a chute on check out. THe expectation for you to clean up after yourself, do the dishes, vaccum the floor etc is pretty high too.
Overall if you are looking for luxury this is not it. A smaller motel would probably be better for this. BUT if you are looking for a place to sleep while your family enjoys the goldcoast and space and a full kitchen/ two bathrooms are more important that modern fixtures then you will find this place just right, as we did.

This review is for The Redcliffe Ice Creamery Cafe, Redcliffe QLD

If I had writen this a year ago, this review would be very different. Sadly the once great icecreamery is converting to just another cafe, and with it is going the great range of good quality icecream that used to be available. They still have a limited range of icecream, but all the best choices are now gone. They used to have a really awesome Blood Orange Sorbet for example, but no more. The staff also seem to be going through the motions and I can only hope that someone can come along and reinvigorate this once great Icecreamery.

This review is for Thai Hut, Redcliffe QLD

This place is a little more expensive than some other Thai restaruants on the peninsula, but the food is also some of the very best. When we are tired and hungry and don't want to go out, getting this home delivered is a guilty pleasure.

The food here is fine, but not worth the price. The service is also good but not memorable. I would rate this as three stars except that the atmoshere is very tacky to my taste. The 20 somethings and the 30 somethings that wish they were 20 somethings seem to love the place, but if you want an elegant quality meal in good surroundings this is not the place for you.

This review is for Fudge Me, The Ole Lolly Shop, Redcliffe QLD

An enourmouse range of lollies and real creamy fudge, but the cost of even the most basic sweets does leave a bitter aftertaste. If you are looking for soemthing special chances are they may have it, but expect to pay plenty for it.

This review is for Sushi Central, Redcliffe QLD

This place does good sushi and really good japanese dishes everyday, but the reason I give this a higher overall score is the great deal on Tuesday. Any plate only $2.50! You will wait a little longer for a seat but the very high turn over on Tuesdays means that the sushi is not only cheap but also even fresher than usual. The range is also the same on Tuesdays as every other day, so they don't just put forward the cheap options.

This is a lovely little cafe based around an old church. The cakes and coffee are really good and so is the service, but it's the atmoshphere and that little country town feel that make this place a real winner.

This review is for Outback Jacks Bar & Grill, Redcliffe QLD

We made the mistake of going here when we had a very distinct time limit (we were going to a show afterwards) and the service was not slow, but certainly not as fast as we would have liked. The food was good, but nothing to write home about, although my wifes steak was cooked as she likes them (well done it's pretty hard to get wrong). My chicken wings were good but be warned when they say hot they do mean hot. I like spicey food and was in the mood for good and hot so ordered the hottest option. The taste was good but I could barely eat them due to the intense chilli. This is my fault for ordering it this way though, so not the fault of the resteraunt. Overall it was very average, but it would be good to give them another go with more time, and less bravado about how hot I like my food.

We are lucky to have this shop at the end of our street, so I go here very often. I normally just pick up a loaf of wonderfull bread (just white sliced, but it is soo good especially when very fresh), but they also do a really surprisingly good coffee, and unsurprisingly all the wonderfull treats in the cabinet are superb. The only negative is that none of my family are fans of thier pies.

This review is for Phone Wong Chinese, Kallangur QLD

This is one of thoese little hole in the wall places that does really good food. I'm not a fan of thier Lemon Chicken (which is a pity as it's my favourite dish) but most of thier dishes are wonderfull. The service is fast and always friendly but watch out not to order from the wrong place. There is another phone wong in margate and i was once embarrased trying to pick it up from the wrong shop (totally my own fault) but after a quick call the very friendly staff said if I waited they would make the order for me there. 15mins later I had my order at no extra cost.
