Both Hayden (who came to give the free quote) and Damien (who installed) are great, friendly guys who go out of their way to do the job quickly and correctly. They do try to keep to their time, or will give you a call if they feel that they are running late - which is much appreciated.

Overall, what you would expect from a walk-in. The hairdressers all seem nice and capable, though I think they're a bit better with men's hair than with women's. But I'm quite fussy with my cuts. But great if you're in a rush but need your hair cut!

I sent my 6-month old brand new car in there for some rear passenger panel work to be done (self-inflicted accident..), and after NUMEROUS delays (they wouldn't even phone to tell you that the car would need more time in the shop, either), I was horrified to see that the car not only had a really poor paintwork done (which I'm sending back to AAMI for re-inspection), but my brand new car came out dirty and scratched on the inside (not just in the rear but also on the dashboard). Totally disappointed and would never recommend them to my friends.

What I dislike about AAMI is that they send your car to the cheapest panel beater, and you can't choose your repairer. After over 15 years of being a member, I was totally disappointed with my last dealings with them. Overall, the people at AAMI are "caring", but if they don't care who they send your car to and just go with the cheapest guy available then it's a big NO from me. I'm no longer with AAMI.

After what seemed like an endless search for a quality child care centre, I came across Time Out here in Doncaster East. It is a custom-built (architect designed) child care centre, not one of those renovated-from-a-tiny-house ones, with LOADS of play areas. Plus, it is quite new. The ladies in the baby room where we'll be starting in are very caring, and the kids there all seem to be having a good time.

This is our "local" - great for when I don't feel like cooking. Very quick, not too oily, very tasty, and you can phone/pick up, too. Gets a bit busy on the weekends, but there should be enough seats. And the best is that they're super great on value. We call it the "ten dollar shop", as everything is priced at around $10.
On the weekends, they also have special meals, like assam laksa and ba ku teh.

I had four big gum trees that needed to be removed as they were positioned too close to the house, and one had fallen down in the heavy rains. Danny, Tim and his team arrived for a quote and were able to take away the fallen tree on the spot - they have a "lop now, pay later" service. GREAT!
Not only are they quick and efficient, but they're really friendly and provide a great service - leaving my garden nice and clean. I would definitely use them again, and highly recommend them.
They also provide 24 hour service (which I didn't know, but it says so on their business card).

Ate there for dinner on a Saturday night. Menu du jour only (i.e. 2 courses for $45, 3 courses for $55) - but the quality of the food was amazing. A little disappointed with the desserts (all of the desserts), especially the "deconstructed lemon tart" which were just some dribbles of lemon curd and some tart base crumbs, but the entree and mains were impeccible. Lovely chatty waiters, simple decor, modern feel. Nice and clean and new.

My sister booked the upstairs room for her 40th birthday celebration. I was impressed at how great the service staff were - always refilling the water jugs on various tables, bringing new glasses, emptying the little buckets they have for "rubbish"... plus they were very friendly and helpful. They were also helpful in deciding what to order (set menu/choice of fingerfoods), and I'm glad they told us that we didn't need to order much more, as we were all very very full afterwards.
Great also that we had a "private" entrance to go upstairs, plus our own toilets.
And they provided a mic for the speeches, and there's no fee for booking the venue.
