Most of the food was great, definitely better than most choices for Asian food in the area. The rice paper rolls were fantastic.
The pho, on the other hand, was a very strange one indeed. The beef was overcooked and the meat was all very average quality, and I've never had pho with cinnamon in it - not to my tastes.
Still like this place a lot, but wouldnt come here for pho again.

I ordered a risotto, but that is definitely not what was delivered. It seems more like steamed rice coated in a flavourless pasta sauce. Very disappointing considering the quality of the competition in the area.

Expectations were high due to all the hype of this place, but it very much fell short. I've been here at least 5 times and had a different dish every time, not once was the quality above what I would expect from a food court. Very average.

Was looking for a new restaurant to get dinner delivered tonight at work, because I figure I deserve a nice meal when I'm stuck here on a Friday night while everyone else is out enjoying themselves! I chose 4 that deliver to the area that had positive reviews and looked through their menu - Could not believe how appetising Emerald Elephants sounded! The positive review on quick delivery through menulog was the kicker that made me decide to order from them. I was not disappointed.

One great thing was the ordering system for entrees. Each item could be ordered singly rather than needing to get a serve of 3-6 like most asian restaurants. The prices were reasonable and there was no premium charged for this. Most were $1-$1.50 per item, with an extra 20c-40c for different meats.

I got an SMS confirmation advising me the order would arrive at 9.05, and it was here at 9.05 on the dot. The delivery man was very friendly and followed the instructions on my order very accurately (I always ask for them to call my phone rather than use the buzzer and most seem to either forget, or not like to go outside their standard process. He was more than happy to)

I ordered..

2 samosas
The samosas were crunchy and delicious. The inside was nice and smooth without any crunchy onion bits which normally bothers me about samosas. They were great.

3 chicken curry puffs
The curry puffs were perfectly cooked. Cripsy on the outside, soft and juicy on the inside. They were mild in spice, but strong in flavour and very sweet. Amongst the best curry puffs I've ever had.

1 serve of golden patties
The golden patties were different to anything I've ever had before. You get five empty savoury tarts, and a very generous container fulled of minced chicken, carrot, corn and onion. The mince was juicy but not at all oily, with just the right amount of flavour. The tart cases were crispy and just devine. You get more than enough mince mix to fill all the tarts, and the flavour and consistency makes it great to eat on its own. Anybody who loves thai food NEEDS to try these!

1 serve of chicken massaman curry with rice
The massaman was a great sized serve and they were very generous on the nuts, and the nuts are the best part of massaman! The rice was perfectly cooked, not at all gluggy and not too hard. The curry itself was well spiced and tasted as good as anything I've had from some far more expensive restaurants.

All of this delivered to my door at work.

All in all a fantastic experience. Will definitely order from there again and will try eating in next time! Next time you're looking for a good thai eatery, definitely try The Emerald Elephant.

Beautiful food, and so much stuff you've probably never tried before. Their sweet bread varieties are fab, especially the dinner-roll sized choc-chip rolls.

Good: Taste & price, however you'll walk out a LOT poorer than you do after going to any other bakery - Not because the food is expensive, but because you won't be able to resist filling up your tray with copious amounts of unnecessary but delicious food.
Bad: Cash only.

Great food. Yum yum yum yum YUM.

Incredibly overpriced though, we just can't justify it on even a semi-regular basis, you can get a high quality restaurant meal for the same price.
Everyone should try it at least once though. Go during the lunch period and get the $18 deal. You get one of the main courses (more than filling enough) and a dessert with it.

Delicious, delicious food. Their homemade burger in batter is amazing, and I never turn down a battered hot dog or two. With how good their junky stuff is I've never even tried the good fish & chips, but I'm sure the quality is superb based on what I HAVE tried. The customer service is great and they are very friendly.

Good value and fish & chips how they should be. Seafood sticks & calamari are all (permanently) buy 1 get 1 free! The two of us absolutely pig out (I'm talking can't get up off our seats for two hours afterwards" and never spend more than $20.

Very nice atmosphere and lunch is great value. $29 for all you can eat is fantastic! They have dumplings, most "standard" Chinese dishes, and a noodle bar - Yep, pick your raw ingredients and they cook it right in front of you, included in the all you can eat. And the desserts are to die for, I think there was about 50 choices. If you go there, don't forget to try the white chocolate mousse. Just amazing.

The absolute best Yum Cha I've ever had. We happily travel the 30+km to come here again and again over all the other nice restaurants in our area, it's well well worth it.
Must must MUST try the deep fried chicken drumettes and their chicken & corn soup is among the best I've ever tried.
