Breadtop has a large selection although if I get there just after lunch my fave bread loaf (pork floss) is almost always out of stock! their pastries/breads are always fresh and I have not had one item that I didn't enjoy eating!

large selection of bread and pastries and fresh and warm and nicely displayed. a busy and vibrant store. The store is quite crowded at times with people trying to select what they want.

Beautiful food, and so much stuff you've probably never tried before. Their sweet bread varieties are fab, especially the dinner-roll sized choc-chip rolls.

Good: Taste & price, however you'll walk out a LOT poorer than you do after going to any other bakery - Not because the food is expensive, but because you won't be able to resist filling up your tray with copious amounts of unnecessary but delicious food.
Bad: Cash only.

I love the variety of breadtop and the food is sensational. It's not a traditional bakery, it's asian inspired and the combination is great. Little pastries and cakes and savoury buns make my day. Really well priced too and you can enjoy these delicacies with a coffee and a smile.

Approximate cost: $4

I hate to eat bread until I found this shop. I never think that bread can have so much variaty and can be so tasty. Only thing that I don't like is can only use cash.

I would recommend the mango cake and taro buns, however every dessert looks appetising and sizes are uniform. Service is acceptable.

Bread top is a good place to purchase Asian breads and cakes. Their mango-flavoured cakes are especially good. I have bought it on a few occasions for birthdays. However, when comparing to other Asian bread stores in the locality of Box Hill, such as the Grand Taipei on Station Street. I must say that the BREAD of Grand Taipei has better quality and freshness, with more quality fillings inside them.
The service Bread Top in Box Hill provide is to a bare-minimum, with not much speaking from the shop girls and sometimes a little impatience when you're not sure if they are ready to serve you yet. This is usually tolerated because not many other stores in Box Hill sells Asian bread and cakes. I often feel pressured to have the money ready in my hand while I am waiting in the line so that I can pay immediately without looking for loose change because I often feel that before I have hardly left the counter, they are already getting the next person to come up to be served.
