I went here for a pedicure when I was heavily pregnant. The ladies here took such excellent care of me, I felt really pampered, especially as I hadn't been able to reach my feet for some time and they were feeling neglected! I got a deluxe spa pedicure with Shellac, so I was able to soak my poor swollen feet and also have a lovely foot massage before being polished. The ladies were very professional and did a fantastic job. The friend that I was with commented that the massage chairs were lovely and I'm just sad I wasn't able to test them out myself (next time!!). Definitely well worth it, service was great, the polish lasted forever and value was probably a little more than what you'd pay in a shopping centre chain store, but worth it for the outstanding treatment provided.

With a cold imminent, I needed to restock up on some vitamins, and Vive was recommended by a colleague. It looks like a tiny store from the outside, but that's deceptive and I was surprised at the range available once you walked through the door. I even spotted a few brands that previously I'd had to buy online as I couldn't find a local stockist so I'm pleased to know I can get them in person when needed now. I was pleasantly surprised at the prices too, as sometimes the smaller health stores charge more but that wasn't the case here. The lady who served me was very knowledgable, as as a herbalist, also recommended additional products I could try to help boost immunity, but were compatible with my currently lifestyle needs. I wasn't feeling 100% so I didn't browse as long as I'd like to, but I will definitely be back to remedy that.

Went here for breakfast for the first time on the weekend. Have to say I wish I'd discovered this place earlier. We weren't sure if it was table service or you place orders at the counter, but after figuring that out, everything was fine (order at the counter!). The wait for food was short, and the coffees were delicious (it's hard to make a bad Merlo). The serving portions were just right, if on the large side slightly but very generous, especially for the price. We took our baby and didn't get a dirty look at all, in fact, people were very friendly and tolerant which is really nice when dining with someone just learning to eat! It's definitely a pace we'll visit again.

I was taken here to buy a pair of uggs as a mother's day present and was blown away with what was available. For an unassuming little shop front, the range was huge and the prices were much lower than I thought they'd be. Service was really lovely and the lady who served us knew her stuff and really couldn't do enough to help. She even talked to our daughter (I love when shop people acknowledge children!).

Quality is amazing - my feet are toasty and warm, and I love knowing that I'm supporting a Brisbane based business too. Definitely recommend.

First time I've ever been here, but the husband insisted it was a must do. I don't eat meat so I can't personally comment on the quality but I've been informed it's top notch. The prices are certainly excellent and well worth clearing freezer space before a visit so you can stock up! Value is amazing and the range is pretty good. It's really a serve yourself kind of place but they do have butchers who will cut your meat if you buy a huge chunk of it, and I think that's a great idea.

Wandering around the area on Saturday morning with a friend we came across Chow House and couldn't resist. Service was prompt and friendly and our fresh juice came out quickly, along with water for the table. We both ordered the mushroom, spinach and cheese on sourdough and it didn't disappoint. Plenty of flavour (garlic cloves were a nice surprise) and enough topping so that we weren't left with piles of bread leftover. Really reasonable prices too, definitely recommend here for breakfast. I'd love to try the dinner and lunch menu too, I've heard great things about it.

Marion made my engagement ring and we were so happy with the results we went back for our wedding rings. She was great throughout the whole process, guiding us through the intricacies of diamonds but being honest as well - can you see this flaw? No? That one? For the money you're looking at, this is the best diamond for you then. We felt that we got great value and I was able to pop by as it was being made and have alterations done. She even adjusted it afterwards when it was still too big, and other jewellers had told me platinum was impossible to adjust. When we went back for our wedding bands, she let us lock in the price a few months earlier when the dollar was high. When we picked them up, she said they hadn't cost as much as she quoted and charged us even less! How many jewellers would do that? I have no hesitation in recommending Marion - I definitely trust her and if I need any custom work done, I know she delivers both immense quality and value

This review is for Gillian's Garden Cafe, East Brisbane QLD

I had my baby shower at Gillian's and I can't recommend it highly enough. No request was too hard and that included catering for the pregnant, vegetarians, vegans and gluten free. We all had high tea and it was delicious. Three layers of yummy food - the sandwiches were amazing and the sweets, well those need a special mention of their own. Fluffy when they were supposed to be, crunchy when supposed to be, not too sweet and everything designed to fit together tastily. I couldn't get enough of the mini chocolate tarts! With 20 or so people, service was reasonably prompt and not too fussy - we were left to enjoy ourselves without hovering. The price was right as well. It's definitely a place that I'd love to go back to again.

Aside from the cafe, the lovely little antique/gift store and attached nursery make this place worth a visit - make sure you have plenty of time to browse!

I wanted to like this place because I'd heard a lot of good things about it. Maybe I went on an off day, or maybe my standards are too high. I ordered the dirty nachos (vegetarian) and chilli fries. The fries were only warm and certainly not spicy at all. Cheese was pretty much non existent. I was also surprised at the size of the regular nachos -I would have called them small and that would be generous. My dining companions got the dirty nachos (beef) in large and a burrito - theirs looked larger and tastier than mine, so maybe the place just doesn't cater to vegetarians very well. In that case, they should really stop touting the vegan and vegetarian options.

So sadly, I wouldn't really rave about the place. Service was lacklustre - they got our order wrong, but couldn't refund the mistake as it had already gone through on EFTPOS - instead offering a free drink which was sort of useless as we'd already gotten drinks too. Value was ok but really let down by the rest of the experience. There are better Mexican places out there.

This review is for The Vietnamese Restaurant BYO, Fortitude Valley QLD

Decent Vietnamese food at amazing prices. Quality is great, the food is fresh and piping hot. Service is something to be desired, but it is a cheap restaurant in a fabulous location so it's easily forgiven. Meals are served quickly so that's a plus. Value is fantastic - huge portions and really cheap prices. If I'm in the area and hungry this is always one of the restaurants I consider!
