I haven't been here for a meal, but it isn't for lack of trying. We arrived early one morning for breakfast. Maybe too early because they weren't properly open yet, even though it was within opening hours and the venue was set up. We were grudgingly served coffees and told that meals weren't available until the chef arrived when the menu would be decided. Fine, we waited. When food was being served, we were told that the menu was curtailed as it was a holiday. There were no vegetarian options. No, we could not have any substitutions or have things left off the plate. We paid for our coffees and left to find somewhere else.

I have heard very good things about this place, but I haven't personally experienced them. I won't write them off yet, but I won't be beating down the door to go there next time I want a meal, despite the gorgeous waterfront location.

We ordered takeaway pizza from here on a recent holiday. I was impressed that they were open on a public holiday, but I'm not so sure about the service. It took a long time for them to pick up the phone to take our order, and the first phone call we were either hung up on or the connection broke. When we finally were able to order, the process was as expected. The pizzas were ready when they said they would be, and the toppings were as described. In terms of value, honestly you're paying resort prices so it wasn't the best value for money. But the pizzas were fresh and hot, and they filled our tummies successfully, so I can't complain.

I love this place for a weekend breakfast. The menu is constantly changing so there is always something new to try, and I've not been disappointed by anything yet. The owner is always out and about taking orders and helping serve, and staff are very attentive. Coffees are *very* large and come with a complimentary piece of chocolate. There is always a crowd and they don't take bookings for weekend breakfast so get there early or be prepared to wait. In winter, don't be afraid to sit outside as they've thought of everything - there are heaters and lap blankets available. Children are welcomed here too, as evidenced in serving milkshakes decorated with a little umbrella on the side!

The Bun Mobile is a mobile food truck which serves gourmet food from various locations during the week. You can find out where they'll be via their twitter or facebook page, and then make sure you get there while there is still food available. Specials change all the time, and my particular favourite is the mushroom bun. Ingredients are always fresh and delicious and they compile the bun there in front of you so you know it hasn't been sitting there for ages. It's run by a super helpful and friendly husband and wife team who not only do the cooking but also run the social media side of things as well.

There is a loyalty card system where if you buy a certain number of buns, the next is free. I highly recommend the buns here, but I have to mark them down for value slightly, only because I have trouble paying the same (or more) for a vegetarian options compared to a meat option. Having said that, quality is amazing and my meat-eating friends haven't had any complaints either.

I've been a big fan of this place for a long time. Located in the Myer Centre, it isn't the best show location for the crowd that it attracts, which means that service isn't always in the most efficient manner possible. Different servers have different portion size ideas too, so that's a little hit and miss. Having said that, the food quality is amazing. There are made to order items from the menu board but honestly, I usually stick to what is out on display and I haven't yet been disappointed. The hot foods are delicious, ranging from curry options to lasagne. The salads are also amazing, with various textures and proteins which make them interesting (and tasty!) to eat. For food court value, it's pretty good. I find it easier to get the takeaway containers as I find if I ask for dine in, the plates are over-full and inconvenient to eat from. There are often kofta ball samples - these are addictive and leave you wanting more!

I was very impressed with the service offered. We had our gutters replaced, and from the moment I called to get a quote until the job was done, I was treated to excellent communication and workmanship. The person I spoke to on the phone was the one who did the work and this turned out to be the owner, so was extra impressed with this.

The gutters look great and are matched exactly to the rest of the house. While he was doing the work he also checked the existing roof structure and visually inspected our solar panels as well. Great service, over and above what I expected.

I haven't gotten glasses from this optometrist, but I was referred here when my regular optometrist was unable to write a prescription for my eye infection. The person I saw was excellent, did a thorough eye exam again and took extra care to make sure that what I was prescribed and the instructions was suitable for use with breastfeeding. I had a couple of follow up appointments to check progress and they were happy for me to bring my baby with me when I was unable to get a sitter, even talking directly to her and acknowledging her as a person. I even had follow up phone calls to check how I was going. This was all covered by Medicare so it's not as though they were making big money from me either. Fabulous service!

This is our local butcher and it's where we choose all our meats from, rather than the nearby supermarket. Value is excellent, and they have many bulk pack options if need a lot of meat all at once. One of my husbands favourite things to do is to choose a slab of meat and have the butchers cut it into steaks. It's always fantastic value and we've had nothing but compliments for their products.

The pork roast is always a winner and service has always been very helpful and polite. It's a family owned business with regular specials and above average service so that's the sort of local business I want to give money to.

I'm a great fan of this product. I originally bought the shampoo, condition and MSM cream to help my dry itchy scalp. They were fabulous and my hair is lovely and shiny. When my daughter was born she developed a horrible nappy rash. We tried everything, even creams that weren't really suitable for use with her cloth nappies, and then one that worked best was the MSM cream. Bonus points that it doesn't have zinc so is cloth nappy friendly!

I love that the products are all natural and contain nothing that you can't eat. They smell delicious and work wonderfully. You can buy in many stores or online - if you purchase online they usually throw in a few samples and freebies as well. That's how I got hooked on the full cream moisturiser!!

This review is for Orchard's Dance Studio, Fortitude Valley QLD

I used to be a regular here at the studio on their social dancing nights, but I found that it got very repetitive. I took the "advanced" social classes and I found that I just wasn't learning anything new. There wasn't really a focus on technique that I've had at other studios, although there is a possibility of signing up for medal classes. This wasn't something I could regularly commit to, nor am I interested in, so I found that my interest in attending waned.

I love dancing, and I think if you wanted a casual night out and to dance a few different dances socially, this would be a good place. If you want to learn technique, or dance with a less eclectic skill group (it ranges from very beginner to very advanced which can play havoc if you yourself are still learning), dance elsewhere.

The people here are very lovely and it's obvious that they are passionate about dance, but there needs to be some changes made before I'll consider adding them back into my regular dance attendances.
