This is a place that needs to be experienced with friends. It's really a tapas menu so works best when you get a variety of dishes to share. Servings are tapas sized, so it's not great to fill up on, but if you want a glass of wine or a beer, they're perfect for munching on while you people watch or just chat.

Food ranges from the simple bowl of olives to the more complex seafood dishes. Each dish is delicious, and perfect for grazing. Service is fantastic and attentive when you arrive - then they'll deliver your food and let you eat in peace. Love!

Whenever I'm seeing a show at QPAC, I always like to come to Piaf for dinner first. It's a great location which allows me to sit and watch the world go by. The menu is short, but constantly updating which means that I always have an excuse to keep visiting! There is always at least one vegetarian option which is really nice so I don't need to special order.

Staff are very knowledgable and attentive, able to answer any questions and constantly refilling your water glass.

Food is delicious. Portion sizes are just right for me, but my husband is a big eater and always needs to order a side as well. Price is reasonable - not fine dining level but affordable enough to not break the bank. For dinner, all mains are the same price, but prices vary for breakfast items.

A must visit!

This is a tiny little blink-and-you'll-miss-it type place - but you'll be very disappointed if you do! It's a hole in the wall, almost literally, but the coffee is really one of the best in the area. The service from the baristas requires a special compliment - if you're a regular they'll recognise you and remember your order (even if it's something a little unusual). Oh and soy drinkers? They use BonSoy!

Quirky place - the back half has local artwork on display and a few small tables, the front has tables with milk crate seating. There is also a make your own toast station, but this really is a coffee shop, not really food focussed. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

This review is for Ahmets Turkish Restaurant, South Brisbane QLD

This is a great restaurant to go to if you're going with friends, because you're going to want to try everything! Quality of the food is amazing, everything is fresh and delicious. Service is so-so, it's a bit hit and miss but I really do put that down to this being a busy restaurant which is always popular with groups. So sometimes it takes awhile to get your order taken and food doesn't always come out at the same time. This is not fine dining, this is a tasty Turkish restaurant.

Value is ok - it depends on what you order but portion sizes are huge so that makes it worth while, especially if you share dishes with the table. I could honestly fill up on just the entrees here, the bread/dips are amazing and the soups are just more-ish. Don't be tempted to overindulge though, because the mains are also worth the wait!

This review is for La Quinta, Bulimba QLD

I love this place - when I think Mexican food, this is one of the first restaurants which springs to mind. In fact, I love it so much, that the night I went into labour, I told myself that it was false contractions just so that I could keep my dinner reservation here! Luckily no baby was born at my table!!

Everything here tastes fresh and delicious. Service isn't the speediest but when the restaurant is as crowded as La Quinta always is, I make allowances. The portion sizes are huge - I've not managed to finish a meal yet! Value is so-so, but the taste, atmosphere and staff attitude make it worth a visit for sure.

I love the fact that cloth nappies and attachment parenting is becoming more prevalent. When I was pregnant I signed my husband and I up for the cloth nappy workshop (free). This was a great introduction to nappies - the lady running it was very informative and we could ask questions and touch and play with the nappies. There was even a demo doll so we could practice putting them on and a discount in store after attending the workshop.

The shop is tiny but full of everything you need from cloth nappies to wipes and MCN friendly creams. There are also slings, hoses and so many other things to look at. Service is fantastic - they really know what they're talking about and perfectly willing to help with even the brands they don't stock.

Value is on par with what you pay for the nappies from the manufacturers direct, but the service that you get from this store makes it well worth the trip and definitely worth supporting a small business like this one.

What a great little find. Pennisi's is like a deli cross warehouse cross importer all in a little unassuming building. Entering it is like walking into an Aladdin's cave of goodies - fresh olives, fridges full of cheese and fantastic dry goods!

I love coming here for a browse. Service is pretty non existent but that doesn't bother me as I love walking up and down the aisles to look at everything. Quality is generally pretty good, but it does pay to examine to goods carefully as some appear to have been sitting on the shelves for some time.

Value is fantastic - there are hard to find items here and prices you just don't see anymore. Some are way below what I would expect and some are on par with other stores. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

When I go here, it's usually at the instigation of a group of people and I have no say in the matter. Reason being, as a vegetarian, you are very poorly catered for at this venue. They do have non-meat items on the menu, but most of the time these have been unavailable. When I do order dumplings, they seem to come long after the rest of the order so I am left to hurry my food after everyone else has already eaten.

Having said that, my friends love this place so perhaps if you're a meat eater, this might be the venue for you. Service is generally efficient (barring the unavailable foods) and the window at the front makes it a real treat to walk past and see the dumplings being made.

Compared to Hong Kong, these dumplings don't compare in taste or value. But for what they are, value is about on par and if you want a little taste of Hong Kong, it's not too bad from here.

I've been here a few times for various events - pre shows, just dinner and lunch with friends. Each time, quality has been fabulous, I never have any complaints about the food served!

Service can be a bit hit and miss, I suppose it depends on whether it's a busy time or not. To me though, that shouldn't make a difference, it's not hard to acknowledge your presence and that you'll be attended to shortly. Value for money is about what you'd expect for the location (which is spectacular). It's not the cheapest around, but you're subsidising the rent for the beautiful view of the river.

Not a place to eat at always as it's a little expensive, but nice for a special occasion or to sit for a little while to watch the water go past.

A friend had her wedding reception here and it could not have been a better venue. The quality of the food was amazing, although I can't comment if it's like that for regular dining or just for functions.

Regardless, staff were very attentive and kept drink orders refilled. Waiters were knowledgeable about the food they were serving, and instantly able to answer questions about ingredients for those with special diets.

I'd like to go back and compare how the venue is when it's not a special occasion but I was very impressed with what I have experienced so far
