I love the Maple Cafe, it's a quiet and relaxing oasis on busy Whitehorse Road. The staff are always friendly, the coffee good and the atmosphere great. Highly recommended.
I just bought a new TV from these guys, having done the rounds with the Good Guys and JB Hi Fi. I bought from Harvey Norman because they were the cheapest (in fact, the other retailers let me leave the store because they wouldn't do it for the price I wanted). What's more, I didn't have to deal with all the low integrity sales psychology that you get from the others (especially JB Hifi). And to top it off, the TV had a fault (Samsung's problem, not HN), and when I called expecting a battle to sort it out, they agreed straight off to replace it with a new one. Highly Recommended!

This business has high quality plantation shutters and excellent installation BUT the sales people and the reception staff are awful. They are rude, arrogant and difficult to deal with. I pity anyone who has a problem they need rectified, as it is like going through the gates of purgatory. Great product, if you can stomach the service.

Delicious food and really good value - cheap by the standards of most of the restaurants in the area. I've been here for lunch and dinner and it's been wonderful. In summer they open the front bi-fold doors and create a lovely open-air atmosphere. We will be back again and again to Monk & Me.
Great atmosphere, elegant and relaxed. Friendly service, very prompt and efficient. Fantastic food, very appetizing and good value. We had a very enjoyable evening here and will definitely be going back. I highly recommend it. (For winter visitors, the fire is lovely!)
This is the second time we've had a problem at Kouzina. Last time they didn't bring all the dishes we were promised as part of a banquet, and despite arguing with them about it didn't get them (but were charged for them). I guess we thought that was a one off mistake, because we gave them another go last night and had an even worse experience. This time we ordered a $50 bottle of wine that turned out to be corked when it came to the table. They took it away, but then bought back the same bottle with a cork from another bottle and claimed it was a new bottle. Needless to say this wine tasted corked. Service from that point on was patronising and tense. We also suspected the waiter had interfered with one of our dishes. Another negative experience. Avoid.
Fantastic bread. The only wholemeal rolls in Melbourne (that I've discovered) that my children will happily eat and ask for more. Their sourdough fruit bread is amazing! Their muffins taste like they have real butter in them - so rare these days! Fantastic bakery. Love the number/letter system too; takes the stress out of being in a queue.
I decided to try this salon because I saw a feature in my local paper saying they had won a business award. The woman who cut my hair was rude and unpleasant. I actually thought about leaving because the experience was so miserable for me, but I had wet hair and I was trying to keep her as calm as possible rather than enter into confrontation. To top it all off, she cut my hair unevenly. It's higher on the right hand side. She's listed as a Senior Stylist, so I had to pay $82 for a bad haircut and an awful experience. The salon must have other stylists who are much better, otherwise how could they have won an award?

This is a lovely place to come for a special lunch - lovely mains with wines to match - or for a casual meal - great baguettes and coffee. The open fire is very cosy in winter and the range of Yarra Valley produce is great. Excellent cakes!
The pies here really are great! We had ours with chips and peas which were just okay, but the pies were really good. It was very crowded the day we went but they have a good system for allocating tables and we only waited about 15 minutes. We will definitely be back.
