This review is for Blackbird Cafe, Sydney NSW

I like the vibe of this place, it's a nice place to drink, eat and catch up with friends, I always walk up the spiral staircase to get upstairs even though it dosnt bring you right to the front door. Once in the music is loud but not too loud the menu has a great variation of seafood, steaks and vegetarian options along with freshly homemade pizzas, which I love.
The veiw is great of Darling Harbour and the yachts, and it's directly opposite the new Hard Rock Cafe, this place is better.
Friendly attentive service, and fantastic food, it might be regarded as pricey, but I have always forgiven that in Darling Harbour as the rents must be astronomical. It's like you need to contribute to the veiw and all.

This place has saved us on occasion when you really have nothing to watch, which is turning out to be more and more as the TV stations vie for top ratings bomb barding us with one boring reality show after another. So I like to browse around here and make a selection and then return them on my night shopping day at Coles.

I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Potts point a few times and I really enjoy my stays at this Hotel. It's has a two wings an old original wing with totally modernized wonderful rooms and the newer curved section. The rooms have ambient tempreture airconditing with block out curtains.
There's a Marvelous restaurant in the foyer area and room service, serving everything from nice to naughty and a good variety of meals. This Hotel has fully been transformed into the new Hoilday Inn Livery. Yay Yuk,
This hotel has allot of parking, is very close to Kings cross station and is in the heart of the action.
close to the Night club scene of Sydney. Restaurants abound and walking to the CBD of Sydney and the great shopping of Pitt street mall.
The Reception staff are very friendly, the restaurant staff Proffesional, expalin items on menu and and it's all really lovely.

Excellence par none, it's never ceases to amuse me how some of the finest hotels with the very best service, the grandest rooms and nicest of everything have such plain names, like Four Seasons or Bestwestinn bizarre. Even their signature restaurant is called Kable's so ok let's move past the fact no one can come up with a great name, what they have come up with is a great dinning experience, five star service, excellent food, brilliant wine selection and very comfortable setting.
Ideal, whilst it was a work related function, I still had a Marvelous time

This review is for Pitt Street Diner, Redfern NSW

verified email - 05 May 2012

I absolutely loved the service received at the Pitt Street Diner! The owner is great, the chef is good & waiters were lovely. The food was beautiful, tasty and good sized portions also it's good value for money. At the beginning of most weekends I get the best coffee in Redfern. My favorite Cafe in the Redfern area, and a Truely undiscovered treasure in this up and coming area.
Ever since they did the refurb of Redfern Street with new paving and planting there has been slowly a growing trendy vibe occurring. This is the latest addition to this inner city burb and a nice addition it is.
Breakfast, Brunch, lunch or dinner you can't go wrong for a very casual nice meal here.

This review is for Seasonal Concepts, Redfern NSW

This is an unexpected but very pleasant surprise in Redfern. Its an old wares store, or Bric and Brac if you like, it's modern Gifts, arts and crafts and fresh flowers.
It's the sort of place you say if only we had done that before it all became trendy and expensive, well these guys have had the vision and gotten in just before Redfern is on the up and up.
My first visit here I was served by an incredible, fun and very sweet American woman, she assisted me with a very sweet range of Christmas tree ornaments, and we had a good chat about the book Eat, Love, Pray she had only read half so we were having a laugh about the concept and life and it's ways. I told her how impressed I was with the store and it's amazing and vast range of old wares. She told me it was her sons store and that she was of back to the US. It's a shame she left as she is a lovely character. There's a great selection in this shop and one might be mistaken when you go in to think your in a store in Double Bay. Redfern and surrounds are lucky to have such a store. It's old world charm, with style and a tad posh.

This review is for Luna Park Sydney, Milsons Point NSW

How dated and how old does something have to become before they say enoughs enough. Lets face it, Luna Park has seen its hey day and has never ever really recovered after that terrible day when so many seeking some fun and pleasure, tragically lost their lives in the Ghost Train fire.
I went there a few weeks ago to see Kylie Minogue and we thought lets go early and make a whole pleasant night of it, well the food suppliers had only four or so choices, and fruit salad and all for prices that would make the Hilton Hotel look like a fast food joint. We ended up settling for undercooked large fries at $11.00 each. There were very long lines not enough seating and food deep fried in haste and not long enough, so they could try and keep up with the overwhelming demand, didnt someone tell them to expect 1000's of Kylie fans? Exhorbatent and purely extortionist, as once in, we wernt allowed out of the Park so we had little choice, soggy chips or starve.
The parking station was almost as bad, if you think parking at Sydney airport is expensive, use the Luna Park car parking station, its outrageous.
From what we could see of the rides and halls it's all just held up with years and years and years of repainting, it all looks rather tatty.
Kylie was good, but she's always good.
Luna park should be raised to the ground, and some nice restaurants for all tastes and different prices, overlooking the harbour and a true park made of the site.

A Huge range of sweets from every where around the world, this place will give nearly everyone who has a favourite sweet from overseas a special nostalgic fond memory of their past. With a large range of lollies from Europe like Dutch salted licorice, UK sweets like Bassets and true cadbury, US wonka and hundreds and hundreds more. they also have a range of imported food items like breakfast cerals and biscuits.
The service is friendly and the store is a little like the scene were the kids first enter Willy Wonkas chocolate actory its all there except the river of chocolate, shame really. But its still all Sweet.
