We had a farewell lunch for a staff member today and it was quite good, this is a trendy Cafe in a New building and has a good set up for take away customers and a nice range of tables to sit at and eat lunch.
There's a good selection of salads, sandwiches and wraps and rolls, the coffee is very good and the service is efficient and occured in good order. Peter the manager was very pleasant and asked us if we worked locally and found out about our company and gave us a leaflet for their catering options so he is on the ball there. Its a very nice cafe, Its on the busy Elizabeth street but most people dont mind that, I will eat here again but prefer the cafes in the back streets of Surry hills for the peace.Just a personal preference at lunch time I want to relax a bit and not hear noise.

Quality mens and womens hair cutting, colouring and styling, The guys that works in this very modern and sparkling newish shop are extremley friendly and lovley to work with. They are the first people who get what I want. I need short back in sides and but like to keep a bit of length at the front to cover my reseeding hair line, but dont want it looking like a comb over and very few cutters get it just right, they cut it too short or leave it too long.
They listen to what you want, do it with clean and treated equipment. Very nice place and relaxing, they also take the time to trim your ear hair etc, thats for the men.

This review is for The Fabric Store, Surry Hills NSW

My mother in law sent me here at lunch time today to look for something, it was a mission she had seen it and spoke to a young lass on the phone and I was given instructions on what to pick up.
This is a huge store with everything you would need for dress making, curtain materials and by the look of some of the rolls some glim and glamour outfits for mardi gras. They have Hundreds and hundreds of different materials, buttons, zippers and its all in a modern clean fitted out store in the heart Of Surry Hills.
Very close to central station, an easy walk or theres always paid parking in Cooper street, though it is now $7.00 per hour so be prepared if you drive in.
This is a fantastic Fabric Store You will lobve it.

Having come from German stock on my Mothers side, The Countess von Brandenstein, I have a penchant for German Food, Bratwurst, Sauerkraut, and so much more.
The service is excellent and the Food fantastic, the atmosphere is great, I much more prefer this smaller club after they moved from the lager site.
There is an excellent selection of biers from Germany, The Cezch republic, and there early morning Fruchtschappen on a Sunday is the best time to go.It Opens at 11am.

This is a great place to go and have a drink after work, but I must say the service is slow and laid back and the food has gone down hill in the last six months. Stingy with the chips and slow to come out after you order, this is a relaxing place but I dont recommend going for the food just a drink.

This review is for Thai Square, Redfern NSW

If you LOVE your Thai food, then you are going to LOVE Thai Square Redfern! This quaint, little restaurant is definitely the place to go, and is by far one of the more popular places amongst the locals. I highly recommend their 'Pad Siew'. This is one of my favourite Thai dishes, and I have to say that Thai Square Redfern definitely do the dish justice, as it is absolutely delicious!

This review is for American Express, Sydney NSW

American Express cards have a very useful place in the grand scheme of things whilst sometimes in stores in Australianthey look at you like your an alien when you take your Amex card out, or they tell you there's going to be a five percent surcharge, were the card comes well and Truely into its own is with my bi annual trips to the USA. Firstly there's a very comprehensive travel insurance with the card, there's a loss and theft replacement on purchases for three months from purchase and an extended one year warranty on all electrical goods bought on the card.
But back to America the Amex card is like the ultimate card in America and you can use it for the smallest purchase in a convenience store to restaurant bills and everywhere takes Amex, it's like the opposite to Australia, but I suppose that's why it's American Express Derr. Good points I've already had over $500.00 in gifts cash rewards and they are easy to get, the whole card can be managed from the Internet. I have called the customer service centre a few times in the last 5 months and it would be fair to say they are the very best call centre I have called, Aussies who get what your saying and what you need, good sense of humours , helpful and knowledgable.
Simply Brilliant. Love my card.

This review is for Bankwest, Bondi Junction NSW

Bankwest, it was just before Christmas years ago and I was shopping, amongst hordes of people and I came across this new Bank branch all Orange, all open and welcoming, balloons and coffee machine and young friendly staff all about at open service counter stands making you feel very important, I was one of the very first to open an account that I only have a very low numbered account.
From this day on the relationship with Bankwest Bondi Junction Westfields has done nothing more than what a very good relationship does, it's grown, and as we got to know each other we have helped each other grow. Loans, credit cards, car financing, and Investment accounts and we are all happy they have very good competitive rates, and the excellent range of low rate credit cards to full reward for fee platinum credit cards.
The store is open also the same hours as all the stores so you can bank Thursday night, or on the weekends, you can put your coins into their free coin sorting machine, while have a free coffee from the cappuccino machine, they have bank merchandise for sale and some cool saving money boxes. This isn't a bank this is a great money handling experience, they have put the energy and fun back into the mundane.
Bankwest Bondi Junction Westfields, is the best.

This review is for Australian Youth Hotel, Glebe NSW

verified email - 26 Apr 2012

Lovely hotel with a great internal ambiance. They have an extensive range of beers on tap and in the bottle, and some fascinating paintings on the walls, it's worth a wander about, as it's like a museum really. The food is good and honest Australian fare and was served hot and quickly. The staff are all Proffesional and pleasant and make recommendations if you want to try something different beer wise.
It's a great name The Australian Youth Hotel, it's not young, the art is certainly not for the young, and the clientele were mostly middle aged Proffesionals, so don't be put off by the name but bring your platinum credit card and have a great night out. Glebe is very close to Sydney CBD so catch a taxi.

Approximate cost: $8.00 to 24.00
