My wife and I were really looking forward to dinner here as it was our anniversary and it came with good reviews plus a two hat reference. Our first impressions weren't good, we walked in to be met by no one and a very stale atmosphere. After a couple of minutes someone came and seated us and things improved from here. The food was very impressive with some outstanding dishes, the wagyu with bone marrow being the winner for me but closely followed by the snacks at the start, the choice of meals or either 5 or 8 course degustations (vegan or omniovore). The service and atmosphere also improved greatly from our first experience. It does still have a few hiccups though with at times the dishes coming very quickly and then others taking a little too long plus the lack of greeting at the start.

I used to be a massive fan of these pies however the last time I had them I wasn't as impressed. They are still a good pie and a step above a standard bakery pie but they didn't blow me away like they have previously.

These guys do a mean breakfast in the busy cafe strip in Coogee. They serve up some tasty fresh food in a great spot near the beach. Friends of mine put me on to them and I was impressed

This is a simple little typical industrial area cafe but they do a decent effort at it. Nothing they do is ground breaking but their prices are reasonable and food is good. They have a good selection in their fresh sandwich bar and plenty of choices for hot meals topped off with good service

I had been wanting to check this place out for a while and was definitely impressed. They offer up some great burgers in a cool little space with old school music. They have some interesting names for the burgers including my 3AM which as the name suggests is a bit of a late night special with maple bacon, guacamole and fried cheese sticks. I have had something similar in the US before but this was a much better representation with the fried cheese not being too overwhelming. I had an alcoholic ginger beer too which was awesome on a hot day. This would be a great spot for a late night with some drinks and great burgers

Wanted to go to Southern Attitude but it was shut so we checked this place out instead. It was a pretty decent meal with good service. The pasta was nice with a tasty sauce for a decent price. It was nothing amazing but was a decent meal in nice surrounds.

I drive past this place regularly but have only been in once for dinner. I was a little underwhelmed with the food, my entree was very nice with nice fresh seafood dusted in flour and flash fried but I found my pasta to be overcooked. I would definitely go again and it has potential to be a great place just didn't quite hit the mark for the price

Stumbled onto this place on a night out in cooly. Very cool and fun bar, aimed at a slightly younger crowd them myself but still fun. It was raining so didn't get to check out the pool but it would be awesome on a sunny Sunday afternoon and I reckon it would be a fun place to stay. They have some good food specials also.

My old home beach pub has been made up and it certainly ticks all the boxes. I hadn't been back for ages and so decided to say at the on site units. They do a $10 steak and snitzel night and this night in particular the place was packed!! Yet the meals still came out within 15 mins and were of quality you would expect for at least double the price. I caught up with numerous old friends and had one of the best nights in recent memory. If you are ever this way, check it out pretty hard to beat a pub on the beach!

This is a good old fashioned pub in my home town. It's certainly not fine dining or a gastro pub but if you want a pub with some character, history and decent meals it is a great place to go.
