This old fashioned style barber does a quick trade in kids haircuts - first baby's cut was always free. I walked in this morning, was seen right away, and walked out 15 mins later with both kids neatly trimmed. Well priced, nice and handy local place. No fuss, no stress.
Impressive coffee, and friendly staff. I ended up here with my mum and daughter after waiting in a larger cafe nearby for 10 minutes before even being addressed at the counter. At FIX? The young woman working solo had us watered and fed in less than that time - pleasing the little one with a tasty toasted cheese sandwich, and mum and I shared avo and feta on toast. Simple but nicely done. Coffee is well above average too. They accommodated my pram despite their small footprint, and all in all won my repeat business. Well done!
It's a credit to the 'Ponds that there's now a choice of great coffee places: Nabiha is one of the first. It's quite teeny tiny, but that's part of the appeal. If you're after a groovy little place to grab a caffeine hit, with the added temptation of an almond croissant (for eg), then this is the place to come.
For sensational coffee and a relaxed but delicious lunch, this is my favourite spot to visit for solo lunch. Grab a great magazine and tuck into something seasonal and tasty (when I visited, it was a lemon chicken focaccia), and resist ordering that second delicious coffee. I dare you!
I've been nothing but delighted with the service here - they know I'm seriously anxious about dental treatment, and they're so friendly and professional they really put me at ease. I also take my preschooler, and they're great with kids too.
Uninspiring interior, but a good range of exceptionally well priced maternity clothes. You might not find the most stunningly stylish clothes, but if you're looking for versatile basics on a budget then this is the place for you!
This is a lovely specialist kids toy shop. You won't find cheap bargains or loads of plastic toys: what you will find is a considered selection of fun and quality toys and games (some seriously heirloom quality). It's staffed by a knowledgable and helpful woman who is somewhat of an Essendon institution. Whether you want to pick up a few small trinkets for a Christmas stocking, or invest in something really magical like a beautiful wooden dollhouse, you'll find the service friendly, patient and kind. Well worth a visit.
Padre coffee and homemade muffins make this an appealling and funky addition to the local network. If you need a high quality coffee with an injection of slick cool style, then Alice is your place.
Our whole family loves this bookshop - Natasha and her staff are knowledgable and helpful, they organise fantastic author events, and their loyalty programme encourages return business too. Great value, great experience.
I love this brand new our local cafe - like hanging out at your friend's house, this cafe has really good coffee, and a quirky interior. Heading back for lunch tomorrow. The owner/barista is a sweet heart - super friendly and makes you feel so welcome.
