I work close to Barefoot Yoga & was introduced to this place by some workmates.
Various instructors - different styles - all interesting and I do feel better after attending sessions.
If your new, the instructors ask you if you have any body/muscular issues (back in my case) and then will structure the session to assist that area. They will also provide advice to help improve any issues you may have.
I enjoy sessions by Yan Yan - she is helpful, inspirational, gives great advice and helps get you in the correct position for maximum benefit. (I'm not a big fan of the hovering pidgin position though).
Payment is voluntary - usual expectation is $15 - $20.
Sessions go for 1 hour.

Its worth putting up with the poor service & being ignored because you do finally end up getting a good value, traditional Chinese meal at a good price.
My favourites are the pan fried dumplings, steamed/boiled dumplings and of course the xiao long bao (both steamed and the big pan fried type).
Extra good thing is that you can walk in & buy some of their frozen dumplings that you can cook at home - and get better service (unless someone has had a bad day at work).
Service not so good but the food is! Thats why we go back.

This review is for Hong Ha Red Roll, Mascot NSW

Yum yum yum yum yum. I've always seen the pork or chicken rolls on offer from various Vietnamese bakers & never thought they were something special until a workmate did a lunch run to the Hong Ha.
Pork & chilli roll from the Hong Ha is now a meal I could have anytime. The crisp & crunchiness of the crust and the soft delicate bread from the freshly baked long roll adds to the deliciousness that has now made me an addict.
I have tried the chicken but I love the pork & chilli.
Long roll - pork pate, mayonnaise, white pork meat, red pork meat, roast pork meat, shallot, cucumber, coriander, carrot, lettuce and of course chilli + a squirt of sauce. Result - absolute heaven.
I have now tried other places for the pork & chilli rolls however, the Hong Ha has yet to be beaten.
They also do chicken schnitzel or meat ball rolls & spring rolls but I havn't tried those.

This review is for Bikram Yoga, West Pennant Hills NSW

Wife was interested in yoga & I walked passed this place by accident. $20 introductory offer for 10 days - couldn't resist. Wife loved it & prompted me to do the same. I love it too.
Bikram is hot yoga (coming from Darwin I love the heat) & I have found that it has helped my sore back, my flexibility and we have a general sense of feeling better after each session.
Instructors are very helpful and encouraging to beginners and provide an excellent service. They don't promote the spiritual or mystic side of yoga but the health benefits and all the instructors have received quality training.
Both my wife & I have now attended other yoga places to try other styles, and we do enjoy them as well however, we can't recommend Bikram Northwest highly enough, and we will remain regulars while living in Sydney.
They offer various packages, sessions for my wife and I come to $10 each. Walk in sessions cost approx $18.
Try it - the introductory offer my change your health.

This review is for Shanghai Stories 1938 Chinese Restaurant, Chatswood NSW

verified email - 11 Oct 2013

Shanghai Stories is described as an upmarket, high end version of the Taste of Shanghai restaurants. Disappointingly this is not the case.
We went there as we were going to the ballet (I know, but my wife loves it & it was our anniversary) & we like the food at Taste of Shanghai, Eastwood.
Service very slow (and this was at 6pm) with not many patrons there.
First up - Duck rolls: great if you don't like duck as there was not much & the rolls just tasted of carrot;
Steamed/boiled pork dumplings: arrived cold, requested they be heated up and came back a little bit warmer;
Pan fried pork/chive dumplings: great, hot & tasty - the dish of the night;
Shanghai Pork Belly: again cold, very tender but lacking much flavour;
Desert was the taro rolls? quite hot but left an oily taste in our mouths.
Very disappointing experience & we won't be going back. Food is still good at Taste of Shanghai, Eastwood though.
And, to finish off the experience, I got in trouble for fidgeting too much during the ballet.
Cost of the dinner for two was $86. (included 2 x Tsingtao)

Spur of the moment booking - no probs, only two of us. Shown to a table - small area, little bit noisy but clean. Waitress Lisa excellent, very professional. Sorted out drinks, gave us menus & informed us of the specials. Not long to wait for the food. Pizza - great crust, plenty of toppings and good taste. Pasta was only average but good serving size. Plenty of take away customers as well. They deliver for free within a 7 Km radius.
Happy to return. Again, top marks for Lisa.

This review is for De Fence Fencing, Castle Hill NSW

verified email - 26 May 2013

Needed a new pool fence to comply with the new regulations. Contacted de Fence for a quote. Told me I would be contacted by a rep the next day. I was by Mick. Arranged for him to come around for the quote.
Did not hear from them for over two weeks. Rang Mick again and asked what was happening. He said he would be there the next day & would provide the quote. Never heard from them again & didn't waste my time.
Recommendation - give them a miss.

Went there last night for dinner. No problems with the booking & was warmly welcomed by friendly staff. The restaurant is very clean, extensive menu and great prices.
The restaurant filled up quickly and was very busy while we had our mains. Lots of take-away traffic came and went while we were there as well. Take away will be our next option as its local and convenient.
Food was great, we didn't have to wait long, and as we had asked for extra spicy, the food was delightfully warming.
Overall experience was great. Clean restaurant, friendly & helpful staff, good food & good prices. We will be going back.

Found this little place by accident. Great dumplings (steamed and pan fried) with vinegar & chilli + a huge range of authentic Chinese dishes. Meals come out quickly and are delicious. Icy cold Tsingdou beer also flows smoothly down the throat. I have walked past at lunchtime & the place is very busy with workers having a quick bite.
If your in Melbourne & like dumplings - I highly recommend this restaurant. Great value and handy location too - very close to Flinders St station.

This review is for Maroush Lebanese Restaurant, Eltham VIC

Went here for dinner with some friends. Havn't really been a Middle Eastern fan however, the food here was quite tasty with a variety of choices. I loved the halumi cheese salad (& have since tried to replicate it at home).
They also had the regular Lebanese type dishes, kofta, babaganush etc and even had live entertainment of a belly dancer. I would go back again if I get the Middle Eastern urge.
