It was a Friday night, we were going to a restaurant on the Nepean when I remembered I needed something from the pharmacy. I was happy to see that this pharmacy was still open. I talked to the pharmacist about what I needed and she was very knowledgeable and helpful asking pertinent questions and pointing me in the right direction. It really helped me in a pinch.

I went there with a group of Americans (Like me) and really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Although I have to say I have never seen a hamburger in the US with an egg on it!

Always helpful and friendly, they've got a good variety of breads, rolls, pastries and other baked sweets. We always buy our bread there because it's fresh and hearty.

Like Dev above, I'm a transplanted American always looking for a good Mexican meal. I've tried several different "Mexican" restaurants in Melbourne, but Mexicali Rose was the best by far. I went with a large group of mostly Americans and their Aussie partners and we had a great time with some great food that took most of us on a trip back home. I had the chimichanga (which is my favorite in the US too) and while it wasn't as fantastic as my fav in the US, it came quite close. Highly recommend it!

I know it sounds petty, but when I go to Subway, I expect to get a sandwich the way I want it. I only want a few things on it--lettuce, pickles and black olives. The problem is the pickles. They wanted to charge me $.50 for more than 6 tiny pickles. ALL of the other Subways I've been to at least will allow me 8-10 pickles at no extra charge. I actually wrote a letter of complaint to the company headquarters, they refered it to the franchisee and she came back to me with a page-long letter, not apologizing--NO! Actually told me that Subway has a formula and that this formula had to be followed. I gave her one more time to redeem herself, but she just wouldn't budge. I will never give her another sent of my money. Stingy people don't work for me... Sorry! (I have the email if anyone would like to see it!)
