Natures Works has a range of 'health' foods, like nuts, cereals, etc. They sell dairy free products (chocolate) and gluten free products.
I have always found the staff to be very helpful without being too overly attentive.

I think the only reason this place is still in business is because it's right next to Sandy Bay beach, and they must do good coffees.
I went here once and had a chicken burger. Given the price of the burger and what oher restaurants usually serve for cheaper, I was expecting a grilled chicken breast on a burger with plenty of fillings. What I actually got was a minced chicken patty which I wouldn't have bought at the butchers.
When I told staff how disappointing this was for the price (around $20 from memory), they said 'oh but we make it ourselves'. Well that doesn't mean they don't put poor quality chicken and other ingredients in there. While it's great they make it themselves, it didn't make the burger taste any better. I had 1 or 2 bites of the burger, at the chips and left EXTREMELY disappointed.
I notice that they've changed hands now and are under new management, but I was so put off by my last experience I don't know that I'd be game to venture back.

This pub offers old fashioned service and quality. You get VERY large meals at a reasonable price. They have a super schnitzel which takes great strength to finish!
It can be hard to get a table so you either need to book or arrive early.
They often have specials on shop-a-dockets where you get a second meal for about $8.
Nice family atmosphere and they have an outdoor seated area which is great for summer.
There's plenty of parking at the venue.

This review is for Valhalla Icecream, Moonah TAS

Valhalla is a local Tasmanian made icecream which is sure to wow! They have some great flavours, with my favourite being their peppermint chocolate chip. You can buy take home tubs at a lot of shops, but why not go straight to the source where they actually make the icecream?
It's a cute little shop and you can access it from the bike track if you need a pit stop while you're having a family walk or ride.

This review is for Queen's Head Cafe Bar, North Hobart TAS

Great pub in the North Hobart district which has a bottle shop, oasis gaming venue and a large cafe restaurant area. They often have live bands in the afternoon on weekends, and in the evening.
There are tables outside where you can sit and enjoy a drink or your food.
The menu is quite varied so there's bound to be something there for everyone.

I often go here for lunch as they do $10 meals and the service is pretty quick, so you can be back at work within an hour after having a relaxing lunch.
I recommend the chicken schnitzel but they have plenty of other options for lunch or dinner.

Approximate cost: $10

This review is for Little Bali Indonesian Cafe & Takeaway, Hobart TAS

Little Bali is a hidden secret in the Hobart CBD area. It's very popular as a lunch option or after work take away for nearby office workers.
It's only a small shop with a few tables, but their food is very tasty and well priced.

This review is for Little Salama, Hobart TAS

Little Salama specialises in Mediterranean wraps and grills. What I particularly like about this little shop is that everything is cooked fresh. You might have to wait a few minutes but at least you know it's fresh and healthy.

This is a great pub in the North Hobart district. It has live bands at nights and also some afternoons so you can have a relaxing drink and listen to some great live music.
They have an inside area as well as a large seated outdoor area, but some of their decor is a bit dated.

This review is for Annapurna, North Hobart TAS

Annapurna is a great little Indian restaurant in the North Hobart restaurant area. I especially love their vegetarian food.
The serves are well presented and although you initially might think they look small, they are actually quite generous serves.
They cater for small groups to large groups so it's great for a catch up with your friends. There's plenty of parking nearby.
