I went to Women's Imaging for my week 14 and week 20 pregnancy scans. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I thought the price was reasonable.

They did a few 3D scans which were OK, but nowhere near as clear as other 3D scans I've seen, such as from Hobart Private.

Most importantly though the lady I saw accurately predicted the gender of my baby! My obstetrician told me that particular lady has never been wrong, and I'm glad I wasn't her first mistake!

This medical centre offers obstetrician and gynacologist services. Most of the obstetricians in the centre will now only deliver at Calvary hospital rather than Hobart Private as many of them use to also do.
The service is friendly and they generally don't keep you waiting long, except when there is an emergency they have to deal with.
As they are right next to the hospital, if there is a complication during labour they can be there very quickly during business hours.
The medical indemnity they charge is higher than some other places, but not as high as interstate centres.

This is a well priced hairdresser in the CBD area. It is always relatively easy to get in despite being very popular and always busy.
The staff are friendly and don't keep you waiting long for your appointment.

We used this firm for conveyancing, and I certainly wouldn't rave about them. We were entitled to the first home owners grant, but the solicitor told us we weren't.
It was only because I did the research and followed it up that we ended up getting the grant - otherwise we would have missed out on about $7,000!
No apology was received for the oversight - not even an attempt!
That alone has turned me off them, but they might be OK with other legal matters.

This review is for Beautiful Blinds & Awnings, Hobart TAS

Beautiful blinds makes and installs all sorts of blinds and awnings. We bought internal roller blinds from them (modern sunshade and blockout sets).
After getting a number of quotes from different companies, Beautiful Blinds won based on their customer service. The key who did our quote (with the excellent customer service) is now the owner of the business, so it can only get better.
Other members of staff we dealt with were not quite as helpful.
I highly recommend this company and they were cheaper than other blind places.

This review is for Fullers Bookshop, Hobart TAS

This bookshop has recently moved to a bigger and brighter location, next to chickenfeed in Collins St.
There is a lovely cafe in the store.
The shop has a good range of quality books, especially Tasmanian books.

All mains at the restaurant come with a salad bar, which has a selection of hot and cold salads and vegetables. The food was OK but nothing special.
The best feature of this venue is enclosed the kids area which has a playground as well as computer games, so it is very kid friendly.
I wouldn't race back for the food, but it is great in terms of providing entertainment for children.

Lovely authentic Asian dining experience. I recommend the beef and black bean.
Great to eat in as it is a small, quiet, intimate restaurant for either small or large groups.

This review is for Prince Of Wales Hotel, Battery Point TAS

Nice pub which has been modernised a few years ago, in the heart of Battery Point.
Their chicken with a vegetable stack is really nice.
Although parking can sometimes be a problem in Battery Point they do have a carpark out the back for guests.

cute little coffee shop in West Hobart - a great place to go to meet friends. Some of their menu items can be rather overpriced, particularly breakfast.
Great coffee and hot chocolates.
It's a tiny place so you're sometimes lucky to get a seat
