Pregs has a brilliant bedside manner - he puts you at ease the minute you walk in the room and you know you (and bub) are in great hands. He has a very pragmatic approach to everything - pays attention to the things that truly matter and no question is too ridiculous. I saw him for baby #1 and am currently seeing him for the second. Delivery of 1st baby was excellent, and while mother nature plays a huge part, I truly believe a vast majority of the ease of my experience had a lot to do with him.

He has a great team as well which does make a difference. They're always positive and down-to earth and remember little details about you which not only is refreshing these days, but isn't what I've heard from friends who have seen other OBGYNs. His midwife is also good for advice and support pre and post-birth which is another big plus!

Having lived in NYC I found it extremely surprising that the best waxing service I've ever had is here in good old Melbourne! Nellie and her team of beauty therapists know exactly how to take care of you. The salon is above street level, and each of the individual treatment rooms always has a bouquet of fresh flowers, scented oils burning and are very clean. I've only ever had waxing treatments but I understand from friends & colleagues who go here, their facials are really good as well.
Unlike other horrible waxing places, you can't hear horrible commercial radio, and the rooms are completely private and sealed off from one another, so you can't hear the lady next door getting her treatment (and vice versa!!).

Binh Minh is a Melbourne staple - don't let the number of Anglo-patrons scare you off, the food is authentic, tasty and reliable. All food is extremely fresh and the 'Yummy Chicken Wings' are to-die-for. The spring rolls are also excellent, along with the salt & pepper squid.
Minh - the owner - is friendly and remembers regulars and always makes you feel welcome.

An excellent F&C shop - light & crisp fresh battered flake and great potato cakes & chips. I called in my order and was told 10 minutes - arrived not long after and the food was ready as I was walking through the door. Looks like a family-run team, lots of customers so I'm confident the turnover is good (which means the seafood is fresh).
