I love to go shopping here. You'll smell second hand clothing the minute you walk in, but there are lots of great clothes here for bargain prices. I bought my 3 year old a pair of black formal pants(handmade) for just $3 for his sisters baptism, which was a great bargain, as I dont think he would use them again. Love to come here to look at the artworks and if there are any I like.
I love DJ's. It is my favourite department store. There is a great range of children's clothing brands here, and I think more variety than at Myer. I love that they carry Cotton On Kids brand, Industrie brand for kids, and the variety of toys are great too.
This is my son's favourite shop. He is always asking to go here for toys. I love the specials, and the 24 hours 7 days a week opening time. I found there was a lot of good stock in the way of bonds childrens clothing here that I did not find at Kmart in Marrickville.
Spar is a lovely little supermarket. I love to shop here, the service is great, and quick whenever I have been there. The food is fresh, and there are lots of specials to be had.
This is a little boutique shop in a lesser known part of Marrickville West, opposite the Woolies. The service was great, the flowers all lovely, and the shop displays are very pretty. This is one of the nicer flower shops in Marrickville. Lots of class and style.
I went here for the lunch special which was something round the $6 -7 mark. The food was delicious, I had a beef something or rather with a cashew sauce. But when it was served to me (eat in), the meal appeared to have been reused, as the rice was in the shape of a takeaway box. The waiter said that they had just made a mistake, but the next day I picked up a cold, and I'm sure it was from the food here, or the utensils, or that the food was second hand. Disappointing, and a bit dodgy I would say.

I would recommend this medical centre. There's a large waiting room and the service is pretty good. Bulk billing is available. The only thing is, sometimes there is a long wait, but this is with every medical centre
The pies here are really of a high standard. The chunky meat, to me shows that the ingredients are of a high quality, unlike some meat pies that are salty and taste just terrible. A lovely little shop, nice service.
Approximate cost: $5
The food here is really cheap, especially if you go at lunchtime and get the lunch specials for $6. Its great value for money. My favourite is the chicken fried rice, my son who is 3 loves it. The only downside is that there is not alot of space for mums with prams, you can get a space if you're lucky, outside. But it is usually packed with students at lunchtime, so for mums at lunch hour, takeaway is the best option i reckon.
Approximate cost: $6
The food here is lovely. I've tried the chicken satay sticks, chicken rice, pork chops with egg, and of course the pho beef soup. The taste is traditional and delicious. Good value for money. Perhaps the interior could do with some jazzing up.
