I went here to get some makeup done for a renewal of wedding vows. I had my eyebrows trimmed, mascara done and foundation and lipstick applied. I was really happy with the result. I requested a natural look, not overdone and that's exactly what I got. A friendly lady gave me some good advice and everything was asked before it got done.
I went to this hairdressers to have some layers done in my hair. I had a nice cut for $18. I was really happy with the price, it was good value for money, and the result was great. I've had similiar cuts at other places for over $40. The women working here are friendly and courteous, and I wouldn't hesitate to go here again. Great hairdressers for those with a budget.
Approximate cost: $18
I think these guys are great. I had a really good haircut here for $25, and my son had a kiddy cut here for about $10. We were very happy with the service, its good value for monely. The lady who did our cuts was really lovely. We didn't have to wait long at all. Highly recommended.
Approximate cost: $25
A good upmarket hairdressers which offers reasonable prices for quality cuts. Short waiting times, and they give good kids haircuts for $10.
This is an excellent, very modern Italian eatery. I absolutely adore The Italian Bowl. There's lots of pastas to choose from - the seafood marinara is one of my favourites - all at value for money prices. A real plus is the kids menu, which includes spag bol, napoletana or chicken and chips for $6. A wonderful dining experience which caters for everyone. Outstanding food and service to match.
These guys are great, I love Burger Fuel. There are lots of burgers to choose from. One of my favourites was a mini beef burger though this was a bit painful on the purse for such a teeny weeny burger. The decor is funky and I was served quite quickly by a friendly guy at the counter.
This place is a rare find. The pizzas are gourmet and like nothing I've seen before. Thin crusts and tasty toppings, the pizzas here seem like works of art. They are a bit costly, but its worth it. Excellent pizzas.
This is a funky little cafe which I found great to have a coffee or milkshake in. (the milkshakes are great). The Old Fish Shop is located in the heart of Newtown so you can sit and watch the world go by while enjoying a good hot or cold drink. Perfect place to go in winter and summertime, as its not outdoor, but it is an open cafe.
This pizzeria offers pizzas at a reasonable price, with lots of gourmet options. The pizzas are tasty and the service is quick. I was, however, a bit alarmed when one of the staff prepared a pizza without using any gloves and had just come out of the bathroom.
A cosy little restaurant at the upper end of Newtown, on the way to St. Peters. I was served by a super friendly lady who went out of her way to make our dining experience enjoyable. The friendly service really made this restaurant stand out. The food was delicious as well, with lots of curries to choose from.
