Brilliant food, helpful staff and delicious coffee. I adore the detailing and contemporary spaces, kitchen garden, and general concept.. a treat for eyes as well the other senses.. great for a little indulgence and perfectly located in Fitzroy St/Acland St - home to many precious memories.

Approximate cost: $now then .. its all clear on the website!

Really helpful friendly staff .. incredibly large portions, appreciated by the guys! We have been coming here for years to have a bit of family time, food cost is not much higher than at home and our $30-40 gives us breakfast as well for 5! The food is tasty, and you can be selective and get more vegies, also we usually get pastas and one main. We love the place!!

Interesting decor and fun idea but gets a bit hard on the back. kids LOVED IT. Good novelty idea obviously aimed at teenagers but people were well behaved!

A new idea - better alternative to McDonalds but alas the souvlakis new REVOLUTIONARY cooking method appears to owe more to a microwave and very salty sauce than what we are used to. Its good to have an alternative to McD's and the kids loved them, but they drank gallons afterwards.

The coffee was ABOMINABLE, the second worst coffee I have tasted in my entire life.

Comments ranged from "cross between tea and gravy" to "&^%$#%^&*&!!!"

I notice that most of the franchises are way out, presumably where the standard of coffee is way below that of Marios or Calzones. It didnt even look good. McD's coffee is reliably horrible, but at least you can tell that it is descended from a coffee bean and it has some caffeine in it.. At Souvlaki Hut its better to ask for 6 glasses of water and be done with it.

fantastic architecture, ambience, coffee, staff and exhibitions.

took our kids to see the permanent exhibition.. really interesting history of motion pictures, web, animation and a huge collection of movies. various how they did it segments, very multilayered experience. Comfy sit down spots for parents and plenty of helpful staff.. a lot of dual games and big screens, and historically interesting stuff from the early days of pc's and the web.

go and see...

Approachable staff, glamourous surroundings (especially if you're on the sunny side of 7). great movies, a decent number of toilets, escalators galore (great for running the wrong way up) and right near Borders. Way to go!

the kids loved it.. they want to come back but we were not so impressed. They were extremely impressed with the decor and desserts and had (to our shame) a rather large amount of icecream , cakes and desserts, even though they had had pizza and various roast items.

It is possible to eat semi healthily here ... salmon, salads (not great) various quite nice mexican and roast vegies, but it was mazing to see my 8 year old son tuck into twice as many calories as my husband!!!

We will be back and I have plans to take son and friends when they are teenagers and sit in the carpark and read novels!!

Approximate cost: $75 for 2 adults 2 kids
