Lovely and spacious inside since the recent renovations and great views across to the oval, next to a playground, BMX berms and lovely walks. What more do you need? Good selection of choices on menu (breakfast until 3pm) including home made soup and tasty wraps. All of this can be enjoyed with a coffee or glass of wine. Might be a problem finding a park on a weekend due to its popularity and location.

I was a bit apprehensive when a friend invited me to lunch here since I'd read mixed reviews. We were greeted and seated promptly with a lovely view of the gardens. The variety on the menu for food and drinks would please everyone. I chose a small Mediterranean pizza and when it came it had a generous amount of topping and was really tasty. Who can go past a sticky date pudding with butterscotch sauce, cream and ice cream for desert? Not me! The staff were really friendly and helpful and so my whole experience at Oscars was very pleasant and positive.

Can always get a great variety of fresh or frozen fish and shell fish. The price and origin are easily found and their display always looks fresh. Staff are friendly and helpful. Street parking is easy outside the shop.

Dropped in for a coffee with a friend and was delighted to see the range of home made, mouth-watering pastries etc. I chose an almond croissant to accompany my coffee and both were excellent. It's nice to be able to have a chat without having to lip read due to noise levels. Like the way they've done the seating too. Must go back for more and more and ...

What a great experience! Brought back memories of Spain. Loved the tapas, cocktails (check out the gin varieties) and busy atmosphere. The food was fabulous and even although we were part of a group of 10, it came out to us within a short period after ordering, as did our drinks. The staff were really friendly, efficient and did a great job. We were there on a Saturday evening and loved the whole mix of age groups coming and going. Only down side was the smoke from the charcoal grill which is located out on the street so therefore blows into those who are seated outside, avoid this by soaking up the interior ambience.

Really good quality meat and fillings in their pies. A Cornish pasty is my favourite!
Great to report that the new management hasn't changed the products and have improved the payment process.

This is a very pleasant venue and has a lovely ambience. Pleased to advise the food is of a high standard and delicious. The wine list has a nice range and BYO cost is reasonable. No need to travel to the city for a nice night out.

Thought we'd try this place even 'tho it's not our usual type of food. The interior hasn't changed from the previous restaurant but the outside has been made into a really nice space. We were greeted by the manager and given our choice of seats. He then ran through the board menu with us and told us the name of the waitress who would look after us - a very good start.
Since there isn't a large menu we quickly made up our minds and called our waitress to order. It seems they have a set way of doing things, because she only took our drinks order and suggested we ordered a starter first then the burger - there is mainly chips. We told her we wanted to eat our chips and burger at the same time rather than separately. When the drinks came we again told here we were ready to order and she said she'd be back in a minute. When she returned some time later, we placed our order and told her yet again we wanted our sweet potato chips to be served with our burgers. She told us the kitchen was short staffed and our chips would be served first. OK, so we'll go with the flow.
Our sweet potato chips and dipping sauce were served and they were very nice with the spicy sauce. When she came to clear the plate she then wrote down our order of burgers, she hadn't put our order through to the kitchen previously even although we'd told her what we wanted! We think they have a set formula of how things should be ordered and eaten. OK, so it appears we need to let them tell us which in which order we eat our food and with what!
Our burgers came alone on our plate and looked very small since there was no garnish. Again, OK, we're still going with the flow. At this point, hubby orders another beer. To be honest my blue cheese burger was pretty ordinary for $15 and hubby said the one he had was too ($14). We are both agreed that 'the burgers are better at Hungry Jack's' and we certainly won't be going back to Fudd anytime soon.
The second beer never arrived and so I went to pay at the counter. The lady there was chatting away very familiarly to whom I presumed were personal friends, and I was not even acknowledged by her so I had to catch the eye of the other person there to pay my bill.
Overall, not an experience to make us go back!

Newly built therefore fresh, modern decor. Room was well laid out, with enough space for an overnight stay. Towels and bedding high quality and good pillows. Good bar and restaurant (didn't eat there). Would recommend it and car parking available nearby for approx $20.

Seriously good food with a very good menu selection of traditional items. Staff are friendly and helpful even with a thriving take away business. Really nice ambience, not noisy but always busy. A much needed addition to the local restaurant scene.
