Although I don't give DJAZZEX a high rating I truly would not go anywhere else. They are the only place on the Northern Beaches that offer adult drop-in classes at a reasonable price. I do the adule beginner ballet on Fridays and enjoy the opportunity to wine down after a week of work and concentrate solely on ballet, you don;t remember work afterwards. Our teacher is hilarious and to show for it we are her biggest class. Pricing is great and well worth it and there are great discounts for doing additional or unlimited classes. Has the best variety for adult classes no matter what style of dance you are interested in.

Approximate cost: $140 per ten week term for a 1hr weekly adult dance class.

This is the best pole dancing classes! I have had classes over the time I was there with all the teachers and they are great! Unlike some teachers that just show you what a move is and expect you to do it without any further instruction these guy provide lots of tips. They are happy to show you again, tell you what muscles to focus on and can even show you different ways of achieving moves in some cases. Although they provide spotting and ensure your safety they also do not go too slow that you are bored. Each teacher has a background in health, from personal training and ballet to gymnastics and masseurs. You learn a routine each term and there is a showcase for friends and family, nothing huge just a sunday afternoon open day style. You also get discounts for doing extra classes .and it is on par with other studio's charges for classes Having been to four different pole studios I found this the best and it is close to home! My favourite part is you have fun, sometimes sexy routines without looking like you are "working" for it. Nothing against it, some of just want the fitness and a bit of a dance.

Absolutely crowded on a Saturday but there isn't much you can do about that now that cake decorating is so popular, if you can get there during the week it is much nicer. They have the best range around and the staff are knowledgeable, although can be a little miserable at times. I have been to the store and ordered online and all transactions have been satisfactory.

Convenient location for the beaches and North Shore and they offer edible image printing (you do need to order in advance). Unfortunately they don't have a huge range and are a little pricier than other cake decorating suppliers but good if you arn't doing anything too fancy. They have a supply of flowers and other pre made decorations that are good if you just want to bake and add some bling. I always check the website first to see if they have what I need before I head to the store if I need stuff at short notice.

This place has all your basic needs for cake decorating. The drawback is they don't have a huge range and can run out of stock quite easily. However they do allow for pick up during certain hours when arranged which is great on the Northern Beaches. I would definitely recommend taking a look if you are trying to find cake supplies.

I have done six of the courses here (3 Basic, 2 Novelty, 1 Cupcake) and it is unsurpassable. The standards are the best and you are shown many different techniques to achieve certain tasks. As opposed to some other courses you do walk away with a cake, or cupcakes, to show for all your hard work. It is usually quite a tough, fast paced day and if you're thinking it is a social event it is not. Although it can seem a little expensive if you are wanting to decorate regularly as a hobby or professionally this is the best place! Plus the lunch they serve is usually pretty filling and there is cake at the coffee station all day. You also don't have to supply your own tools and everything they have is good quality.

This is a very small Italian restaurant with a lovely owner and delicious food. The menu is quite extensive so it can be hard to choose but the couple of times we have been there it has always been delicious. The dishes are huge so they are great value for money and the staff are happy to give you a container so you have lunch for tomorrow. The main meals are also amazing and whilst most restaurants version of vegetable sides is half a potato and a piece of broccolli here you get much more. We always walk out quite satisfied. The bruschetta is a great starter for two and each time we have shared a chocolate brulee torte which is amazing!!! We can not leave without having one! The one draw back is the noise from the street but it is a cosy place so you only notice the hoons.

I was really happy with Foshmonger's when we came in for lunch one weekend. The servings are amazing for the price and I have never known a better chip. The flavours were amazing. If you are willing to put in an extra couple of dollars then the food is well worth it. Since it is largely a take-away place the staff were fine, although we ate there and the tables are basic. If you're in Manly and looking for better than the usual greasy fish and chips Fishmonger's is the place to go.

I have been here a number of times and do enjoy it. The food is good and the beverage selection is vast. Staff are nothing to complain about, just nothing special either. It is good for a group because there is something to suit all budgets but you MUST BOOK because it gets very crowded! Easy for a drink or a meal.

I would definitely come back here. My partner and I couldn't decide where to eat one day and thought we'd check this place out. The view is amazing!!! They have a wide selection of beer on tap that is brewed on the North Coast, the waist staff are happy to advise what would suit your tastes. The food is well portioned, not ridiculous sizes like most steak places and tasted wonderful. It is well priced for what it is. The only draw back was how loud the music was at only 7:30pm.

Approximate cost: $25
